There are only 4 games on today’s NHL slate, but we’re going to take a deeper dive into one of the matchups and choose a player prop we think will provide good value and will have a great chance of hitting. The games are starting between 12:30 pm ET and 2:00 pm ET. With the Super Bowl this evening, we have some unusually early action, so make sure you have your bets in.

Alex Tuch over 0.5 goals (+210)
Since beginning his season with the Buffalo Sabres, Alex Tuch has been producing offensively at a very good pace. He is a point-per-game player through his first 14 games. Tuch has a goal in 3 of his last 4 games. The Sabres are playing the Montreal Canadiens, who will be on the second half of a back-to-back. The Canadiens will have Cayden Primeau in goal, who is sporting a 4.88 GAA and .866 SVP. The Sabres should be able to have a solid game offensively against the poor defensive game and goaltending of the Canadiens.
If that is the case, Tuch likely will be right in the middle of the Sabres’ scoring. Tuch plays on the top powerplay unit, giving him even more scoring opportunities against the 30th-ranked penalty-killing unit of the Canadiens. The top line of the Sabres, which Tuch is a part of, has been producing some solid offensive numbers too. Look for Tuch to extend his 2-game goal streak. Take him to score at least one more on Sunday afternoon.
