The most electric MLB player prop on the market is obviously the pitcher’s strikeout prop. There is really nothing like it in terms of excitement and win expectation. With a full slate of MLB this Sunday, there has to be at least a few we should consider. I found two that I like the most and will discuss in this article.
I’ve got one pitcher and one hitter from the player props that I like which I will discuss here. Don’t forget to check what our MLB analysts have backed with side and total picks for all seven games tonight.
Adrian Houser Over 4.5 Strikeouts (-145)
Line available at publishing at DraftKings
Adrian Houser isn’t exactly a “strikeout guy” but he isn’t a guy who has trouble sitting people down either. He did have a finger issue that hurt him a little in spring training but that seems to be behind him at the moment. It was called a “cramp” at the time and was never considered serious but it did lead to a couple pretty bad starts in March.
Things turned around for Houser in his last spring training game as he was able to go 5.2 innings while striking out six batters. He is capable of going six innings today which is all we really need. Last season in his last four starts that went at least four innings, he struck out at least five batters in three of them.
Today he gets a team that strikes out like it’s their job in the Twins. Of all the teams that have only played two games, the Twins have struck out more than anyone. They are averaging 15 strikeouts per game and even though Hauser is not a “power pitcher”, he still has enough gas to get five guys via the K.

Brady Singer Over 5.5 Strikeouts (+120)
Line available at publishing at DraftKings
Brady Singer is a guy who could absolutely shine this season as a starter for the Kansas City Royals. He didn’t exactly set the world on fire in his first season with the Royals but he showed a lot of promise. He struck out 61 guys in 64 innings pitched which is enough to garner some interest in the strikeout market.
Singer was decent in the spring striking out 20 batters in 17 innings pitched. Six strikeouts is a big number for Singer but there is double digit upside for him. He could go deep into the game which is always a plus as he had an eight inning outing last year. He fanned eight batters in that game while also having eight in the next game he pitched in only six innings.
Today’s opponent is one that is ripe for a big whiff day. The Rangers have only played two games but they are averaging 13 strikeouts per game. Singer has a sinker and a slider that has swing and miss potential so that will help. Between Nate Lowe, Leody Taveras and David Dahl, he should be able to get to six strikeouts today. At +120, it is certainly worth the bet.
