Nathan MacKinnon over 4.5 shots (+110)

Nathan Mackinnon is on an offensive tear as of late. He has seven points in his last six games. Five of those seven points are goals. Another offensive category that he has been excelling in lately, is shots on goal. In his most recent two games he has an astounding 21 shots on goal. Yes, you read that correctly: 21 shots in two games. Last night against the Winnipeg Jets he had 14 (!!) shots on goal. In his last five games, he has gone over the 4.5 shot total four times, with four shots in the one game he wasn’t about to surpass the 4.5 total.

For the season as a whole, Mackinnon has 175 shots on goal in 37 games played. That is an average of 4.73 pucks on net. I like this special spot especially with the plus-money odds for a guy who is averaging more than 4.5 shots per game over the course of the season. Much of the Colorado Avalanche’s offense runs through Mackinnon, so he should have many chances to get the puck on the net. At these odds, this is almost an auto-bet. Take Mackinnon to record more than 4.5 shots on goal tonight.

Elias Lindholm over 1.5 points (+200)

Elias Lindholm is among the league’s hottest scorers at the moment. Lindholm had his eight-game goal-scoring streak snapped in their last outing against the Vancouver Canucks, in which they suffered a brutal 7-1 loss. Before that game, Lindholm was riding an 11-game point streak. Four of which were multi-point efforts. After being limited to just one goal for as a team on Thursday, the Calgary Flames are due to bounce back in a big way. The Lindholm-Gaudreau-Tkachuk line produces most of the offense and they should be ready for a big rebound game. Lindholm also plays a key role on the top powerplay unit of the Flames, which will provide him with more opportunities to record a point. This point total is too hard to pass up on with the extremely juicy odds considering how well the Flames are playing at the moment and the role Lindholm plays on this team. The Flames are poised for a big offensive night, and much of that should run through Lindholm. Take Lindholm to record two or more points and the juicy odds that come with it.
