MLB is back in full swing, and we’ve got another great slate on Sunday. We’ve had a lot of success with our MLB handicapping lately, including a big mega parlay win this past week, and we’re looking for more big wins here. Right now we’re talking player props, and I’ve got two which I really like that I’m going to discuss here. One of them centers on a big game from Trevor Bauer. Don’t forget to check what our MLB analysts have backed with side and total picks for all 15 games today.
Trevor Bauer over 7.5 strikeouts (-106)

As the Dodgers and Angels get set to wrap up their Freeway Series, I’m expecting a great day from Bauer. This season, Bauer has continued his dominance from 2020. He’s been practically untouchable, entering with a minuscule 0.79 WHIP. Accordingly, he’s been striking out a lot of batter as well.
In only 44 and 1/3 innings so far, he already has 58 strikeouts. That’s an average of around 1.3 per inning, so we should only need Bauer to go six innings here to cash this. He has a very high floor, racking up at least six strikeouts in all seven of his starts this year. Even in his last outing when he struggled and got pulled after only 4 and 1/3 innings, he still punched-out seven.
He’s had at least nine strikeouts in four of seven starts already, so getting even money on 7.5 is a steal. He also has a history of success against some guys in this Angels lineup. Even Mike Trout, one of the best hitters in the league, has five strikeouts in only 11 career at bats against Bauer.

Huascar Ynoa over 5.5 strikeouts (-116)
Line available at publishing at FanDuel
Turning our attention now to Sunday Night Baseball. In the nightcap, I’m betting on the young Dominican right-hander. Ynoa has some nasty stuff and has 38 strikeouts in only 34 and 1/3 innings, so we should only need six frames from him here. In his last two starts, he’s given up zero earned runs.
I’m also encouraged by how the Braves’ staff has been managing Ynoa. In his first handful of outings, they didn’t let him go more than 82 pitches. In his last two starts, he’s thrown 96 and 101 pitches. They’re clearly letting the 22-year-old go a bit deeper in games now, but oddsmakers haven’t adjusted.
This matchup is also favorable, as the Phillies strike out a lot. In fact, Philadelphia has the third-most strikeouts of any team in the league entering Sunday’s action. Things are shaping up nicely for Ynoa here.
