Monday has arrived, and the best thing to do on a day like today is get down on some MLB action. Namely, MLB player props. More namely, MLB pitcher strikeout props. There are 13 MLB games tonight, which means there are 26 starting pitchers to choose from. There has to be at least two that feature a good number at a solid price point. That’s all we need in our lives and I think I found two for tonight.
Don’t forget to check what our MLB analysts have backed with side and total picks for all the games today/tonight. As always, bets can be added to the card, so why not follow me on Twitter in case we get some last-second action? It makes sense.
Alek Manoah over 5.5 strikeouts (+120)

I will start by saying I have a soft spot for this kid. I think he’s going to be filthy at some point. The kid throws a 94 mph sinker which is enough to get anybody jacked up. The sky is the limit for Manoah and he is only getting started.
Manoah has not his this number in either of his last two starts, but he’s been knocking on the door. He had five in 3.1 innings against the Miami Marlins and four against the Chicago White Sox in five innings last time out. He’s one pitch away in many at-bats, which should lead to some positive regression.
Tonight he gets the Red Sox, who have been striking out like it’s their job lately. All three Blue Jays starters have gone over this number in this series so far and that includes Ross Stripling. Umpire Roberto Ortiz should be behind home plate tonight which could also help as he is a “pitchers’ ump”. This is a good situation.
This is one of my favorite MLB player props for tonight.

Brad Keller over 4.5 strikeouts (+110)

This is my guy. We want what we want and I like to bet on 6’5″, 250 lb pitchers who throw 95 mph to strike people out. It’s my thing and Brad Keller certainly fits that bill.
Keller didn’t get the job done last time I bet him but it was close. He struck out four Angels in 5.1 innings pitched, so it wasn’t like he was a mile off. He had Justin Upton 0-2 twice in that game and didn’t get him either time, which hurt. In his previous six starts, he sat down at least five guys in five of them so he is in good form.
He will face the Detroit Tigers tonight, which is a good thing. Keller saw them in April and was able to get only four of them, but he has really settled in since then. Meanwhile only four teams in MLB have struck out more than the Tigers have over the last week. Keller is a nice move here at +110.
This is one of my favorite MLB player props of the night.
