Patrik Laine over 0.5 goals (+145)

Patrik Laine is having a great bounce-back season this year. With 48 points in 45 games, this is the first season of his career where he has maintained a point per game. Tonight, Laine will be playing his former team for the first time in his career. Due to an injury, he missed their meeting earlier this season. Laine is an extremely skilled goalscorer who can seemingly flip a switch when necessary. Following the ample amount of drama in Winnipeg, Laine would probably love to score tonight and show up his former team.

Aside from the emotional connection tonight, Laine has actually been playing very well over the past few games. He’s scored in 3 of his last 5 games and has totaled 5 points in that span. He has 25 goals in 45 games this season and is closing in on the 30-goal mark. Take Laine to record over 0.5 goals tonight.

Cale Makar over 1.5 points (+130)

The hunt for the Norris Trophy as the best defenseman in the league has come down to a 2-horse race. Cale Makar versus Roman Josi of the Nashville Predators. A month ago, most analysts would have said Makar was a lock to win it, but recently Josi has been playing out of his mind and now sits 7th in league scoring with 79 points in 63 games. Cale Makar is sitting with 71 points in 60 games, and he has a lot of ground to make up in the remaining 18 games of the season. Makar will have some added motivation down the stretch. While it is a team game, everyone in the locker room is rooting for their teammate to take home some individual hardware.

Tonight against the Philadelphia Flyers, Makar should make easy work of the opponent and find the scoresheet. The last time these teams met it was a points-fest for players, with a final score of 7-5. The Flyers are allowing 3.41 goals per game this season and the Avs are scoring 3.78 goals this season. Makar needs to pick up his point production, and tonight provides a great opportunity against a below-average team. Take him to record over 1.5 points tonight.
