Best player prop for Wednesday's NHL slate: Zuccarello gets back on track

After a jam-packed slate on Tuesday night that featured 10 games, Wednesday’s NHL slate gives us just 3 games. However, that doesn’t mean we can’t find some value on player props. I have a specific prop in mind for tonight’s action, and I will share that here in this article. Along with this play, be sure to check out our full game previews for each matchup tonight. Mats Zuccarello over 0.5 points (-120)

Line available at DraftKings at time of publishing

After a 4-game absence in COVID protocols, Mats Zuccarello returned to the Minnesota lineup on Sunday against the Islanders. While he did not find the score sheet in that game, he seems primed for a strong showing tonight against the Coyotes. Zuccarello has 20 points in 22 career games against Arizona, and this year’s version of the Coyotes are allowing the most goals per game in the league (4.00). They also have the league’s worst record at 1-10-1. Zuccarello has 7 points (3 goals, 4 assists) through 7 games on the season, and he has developed a strong chemistry with line-mate Kirill Kaprizov. The two of them should be rearing to go against an Arizona team that is very weak on the defensive end. Zuccarello is playing nearly 20 minutes per game and he is getting plenty of time on Minnesota’s top power play unit. Look for the 34-year-old winger to find the score sheet tonight.
