We are “in it” right now people. When we open our sportsbook apps there are just opportunities flying all over the place. Life is just 1 big buffet of bets at the moment. Eat all you can, people. One market I never neglect is the MLB player prop market. It used to be the meat section of the buffet back in July but now it’s more of a side. But make no mistake, it’s a one of the really good sides. Like mashed potatoes or even cornbread. Let’s get fat!
On top of this article, you should definitely check out our experts’ picks on all of the MLB action today. It’s just a smart thing to do. Also, bets can be added to the card, so why not follow me on Twitter in case we get some last-second action? Once lineups are announced for some of these games, there is a chance for opportunity to knock.
Daniel Lynch over 3.5 strikeouts (-140)
Line available at DraftKings at time of publishing.
I will never go higher than -125 on a MLB player prop. Ever. Except tonight. DraftKings is offering 3.5 -140 on Lynch and I just have to have it. If you want, you can go over 4.5 +120 at BetMGM but that’s a little too long of a leash for Lynch in my opinion. It will make you the alpha between us though, so there is that.
Who is Lynch at this point? Do we even know? Is he a “strikeout guy” that covered this number in 5 straight starts? Or is he the low-T guy who struck out only 3 White Sox before getting bounced after 2.2 innings in his last start? I think he’s a strikeout guy.
Lynch will get the Minnesota Twins tonight, which helps a little. They aren’t the Chicago Cubs but they aren’t the Houston Astros either. With Max Kepler, Byron Buxton, Miguel Sano and Ryan Jeffers hanging around there should be some whiffs to be had. If Brent Rooker or Jake Cave is in the lineup, it will be a K-party. This is my favorite MLB player prop of the night.
