We’ve got a five-game slate for Wednesday’s NHL card, but there are still plenty of opportunities to find some value. Right now, we’re going to be focusing on player props, bringing you a few of our favorite props. Before you bet these, make sure you also check out our picks on the side and total for every game.
Alex Ovechkin Over 3.5 Shots on Goal (-136)
The Capitals have played two games in the playoffs and Alex Ovechkin has cashed this prop in both games. At the moment, there is no reason to not keep coming back to this shots-on-goal prop until the Bruins are able to slow him down. Ovechkin is averaging 4.0 shots on goal so far in the playoffs and has now cashed this prop in eight of the nine games against the Bruins this season. Ovechkin has not even scored in the post-season yet, but he is far too good to not find the back of the net. For that reason, we like him to once again have a big game in terms of shooting, but also score at some point.

Sebastian Aho Over 2.5 Shots on Goal (-132)
The Hurricanes will be looking to take a commanding 2-0 lead when they host the Nashville Predators in Game 2 of this series. They had no problem crushing Nashville in Game 1 and Sebastian Aho was a big part of that win. He did not have any points, but seven shots on goal helped to open up space for his team. Aho now has cashed this prop in six of the teams’ eight meetings this season and is averaging 3.4 shots on goal per game against Nashville. Aho is surely going to be just as involved in Game 2, therefore we expect him to have at least three shots on goal.

Connor McDavid Over 1.5 Points (-130)
The Edmonton Oilers will kick off their playoff series tonight against the Winnipeg Jets and we are going back to Connor McDavid to have another statement game. He has clearly been the best player this season and has also dominated the Jets this year. In nine games against Winnipeg, McDavid has had at least two points in every single game. He has 22 points against the Jets this season, averaging 2.44 points per game. He can pretty much do whatever he wants against this team, which is why we are going to back him to have yet another multi-point game. Obviously, backing McDavid can be risky, but with the amount of offense expected, McDavid is likely going to be heavily involved.
