We’ve got a nine-game slate for Wednesday’s NHL card, and that means there are plenty of opportunities for value. Right now, we’re going to be focusing on player props, bringing you a few of our favorite props. Before you bet these, make sure you also check out our picks on the side and total for every game.
Roman Josi Over 2.5 Shots on Goal (-115)
Coming into this game, the Nashville Predators still hold a small lead over the Dallas Stars for the final playoff spot in the Central Division. They will look to extend the lead even further with a second consecutive win against the Columbus Blue Jackets. It is true that we do not often look to back Nashville players, however we have one tonight that has fare well against this Columbus team. That player being Roman Josi. Now he leads his team in points with 33, but here we are looking at a shots on goal prop. Josi has 133 shots on goal this season, which averages out to 2.89 shots on goal per game. In five games with the Blue Jackets, Josi has averaged 3.2 shots on goal per game and has cashed this prop five times. Given he just had five shots on goal in their most recent meeting, we like him to have a similar game here and will back the over.

Mika Zibanejad Over 3 Shots on Goal (-130)
Having gone to this prop several times recently, we believe there is reason to keep coming back. Now with the Rangers being eliminated, most would think they will not care about their remaining games. However, they are playing Washington, a team they have blood with so to speak. The Rangers are going to be upset that Capitals player, Tom Wilson was not suspended for the fight in the last game between these two teams and we believe that will allow a player like Mika Zibanejad to show up. Zibanejad has 161 shots on goal this season, which is what we are looking for tonight. He averages 3.03 shots on goal per game overall and 3.0 against the Capitals. For that reason, we will back the over.
Jeff Petry Over 2 Shots on Goal (-138)
The Montreal Canadiens have already clinched their playoff spot, but will be playing for seeding down the stretch. Here they take on an Ottawa team that has been out of the playoff picture for quite some time. Tonight our player in focus is going to be Jeff Petry. He is second on the team in shots on goal, posting 123 on the season. That averages out to 2.41 shots on goal per game. Not only that, but he has been more than productive against Ottawa this season. In nine games against the Senators, Petry is averaging 3.77 shots on goal per game and has cashed this prop in seven of the game. He actually has not failed to have less then two shots on goal per game against Ottawa, which is why we like his over here.
