We’ve got a seven-game slate for Tuesday’s NHL card, and that means there are plenty of opportunities for value. Right now we’re going to be focusing on player props, bringing you a few of our favorite props. Before you bet these, make sure you also check out our picks on the side and total for every game. We’ve been having a great NHL season so far, let’s keep it going on Tuesday.

Alex Ovechkin Over 3.5 Shots on Goal (-140)

Even though the Washington Capitals are on the second night of a back to back, we like one of their top player to be active tonight. That player of course being Alex Ovechkin. Tonight we like his shots on goal prop for a few reasons.

First of all, Ovechkin has the most shots on goal on the team with 100. Over 24 games that is averaging out to 4.2 shots on goal per game. He also has 27 more shots on goal than the guy with the second most on the team, making him a clear target to shoot often. Over the first two months of the season (17 games), Ovechkin had 63 shots on goal, averaging out to 3.7 shots on goal per game. So far in the month of March (seven games), Ovechkin has 37 shots of goal, which averages to 5.3 shots on goal. He has cashed this prop in six of Washington’s last seven games, so we like the same here.

Sebastian Aho Over 1 Point (-102)

The Carolina Hurricanes are starting to look like a legit contender right now, having started the month of March with a perfect 7-0 record. Tonight they will be facing the Detroit Red Wings again, having just beat them 2-1 this past Sunday night. Here we are going to look to Sebastian Aho for the Hurricanes to provide some offense. Aho leads the team with 25 points. During the month of March, Aho has eight total points in seven games. He just had a point against the Red Wings last time out, so we expect him to have similar success here. We also expect the Hurricanes to win this game handily, so backing the over point prop will be our play.

Kirill Kaprizov Over 0.5 Points (-136)

The Minnesota Wild have played very well so far and as a result, sit in second place in the West Division. Tonight they will be taking on an Arizona team that frankly, is not good. This will be the third consecutive game against the Coyotes and in the previous two, Minnesota out scored Arizona 8-1. One player in particular stands out tonight as well for the Wild and that is Kirill Kaprizov. He has four points in the last two games, which includes a hat trick against the Coyotes. Kaprizov also leads Minnesota with 24 points and with 14 assists. Including the two games against Arizona recently, Kaprizov now has six points over four games against them this season. We are expecting another Minnesota win, so backing his point prop to go over will be our play.
