We’ve got a nine-game slate for Tuesday’s NHL card, and that means there are plenty of opportunities for value. Right now, we’re going to be focusing on player props, bringing you a few of our favorite props. Before you bet these, make sure you also check out our picks on the side and total for every game.
Victor Hedman Over 2.5 Shots on Goal (+110)
Tampa Bay is coming off one of their worst losses this season. It is one thing to lose to the Red Wings, but losing 5-1 is unacceptable. Especially with it being Tampa Bay, one of the better team in the NHL. The Lightning will look to bounce back strong here against the Blue Jackets, who are just not a great team at all. Tonight we are going to back Victor Hedman to put some shots on goal. Hedman is a defenseman, but leads Tampa Bay with 101 shots. He had four shots on goal in the loss to Detroit, so we expect him to be just as active tonight. Actually, Hedman has cashed this prop in five of the last seven games, so with a poor defensive team like Columbus, we like the over here.

Sidney Crosby Over 1 Point (+102)
The Pittsburgh Penguins are certainly having a solid season thus far, but will be looking to inch closer to the top of the East Division when they take on the New York Rangers tonight. It goes without saying that Sidney Crosby had done more than his fair share for this team and that is who we will be looking to tonight. Crosby leads Pittsburgh with 43 points. Four of his last seven games have resulted in multiple points, which is why we like him to do the same tonight at a plus money price. It also helps to know that he has at least one point in six of the last seven games, so backing Crosby to at the very least to have one point will be our play.

Yegor Sharangovich Over 2 Shots on Goal (-136)
This is a matchup between the two worst teams in the East Division. Even knowing that, there is reason to believe a player from New Jersey will be able to have a productive game. That player being Yegor Sharangovich. We just went with him recently on a shots on goal prop and we will do the same tonight. Sharangovich is only fifth on the team with 71 shots on goal, but is averaging just over two shots on goal, which would suggest he can exceed the number here. He just had three shots on goal against Washington, so against a much softer defense in Buffalo, we like his over prop tonight.
