We’ve got an 11-game slate for Thursday’s NHL card, and that means there are plenty of opportunities for value. Right now, we’re going to be focusing on player props, bringing you a few of our favorite props. Before you bet these, make sure you also check out our picks on the side and total for every game.
Sidney Crosby Over 3 Shots on Goal (+104)
If this play looks familiar, that is because it is. As expected, Pittsburgh crushed Buffalo last night by a score of 5-2. Our prop in that game was for Sidney Crosby to have over 2.5 shots on goal. He ended with seven shots on goal, which also includes a goal. The prop has changed slightly for tonight, but at plus money, we still like this play. Crosby now has 101 shots on goal for the season. He is now averaging 3.15 shots on goal per game and 4.8 shots on goal over his last six games. Buffalo’s goalie failed to stop the Penguins last night and we do not see a change here. For that reason, going back to the Crosby shots on goal prop will be our play.

Mika Zibanejad Over 0.5 Points (-146)
The New York Rangers are certainly not a great team, but a few recent wins would have us looking at their game tonight. Especially because it comes against a Philadelphia team that they beat 9-0 not too long ago. The player we are going to focus on is Mika Zibanejad from the Rangers. He only has 20 points this season, but nine have come over his last five games. That includes six in the 9-0 shutout against the Flyers. In fact, 40 percent of his points this season have come against Philadelphia. So, while we do not expect another six-point game from Zibanejad, asking him to have one here against a struggling Flyers side will be our play.

Jonathan Marchessault Over 2.5 Shots on Goal (-140)
We have backed Vegas players plenty of times this year, but tonight we are going to a guy who is not mentioned often. That being Jonathan Marchessault. We are looking at a shots on goal prop due to his recent increase in shot volume. First of all, Marchessault is the second leading shot taker for the Golden Knights. He has 93 shots on goal this season, an average of 3.1 per game. Over his last five games, he is averaging 5.0 shots on goal per game and has cashed this prop four times. Just in his last two games, he has had 15 shots on goal and because we do not see a lot of scoring in this game, backing a shots on goal prop will be our play.
