We’ve got a six-game slate for Sunday’s NHL card, and that means there are plenty of opportunities for value. Right now we’re going to be focusing on player props, bringing you a few of our favorite props. Before you bet these, make sure you also check out our picks on the side and total for every game. We’ve been having a great NHL season so far, let’s keep it going on Sunday.
Oliver Bjorkstrand Over 0.5 Points (-120)
The Columbus Blue Jackets are a mediocre team at best. They did just beat this same Dallas team 4-3 the other night, so while we do not think they will win back to back games, we do like them to score some goals. Because of that, we will be backing Oliver Bjorkstrand to get involved with the offense. Bjorkstrand is leading the Blue Jackets in points with 23. He has 10 goals and 13 assists this season. He has five points in the last three games, so there is a good chance Bjorkstrand will be able to get a point here as well. Bjorkstrand has four points against Dallas this year, so backing the over on this prop will be our play.

Mikko Rantanen Over 1 Point (+102)
Colorado is looking to be a solid team and have won two games in a row. Tonight we are going to look for one of their most balanced players to provide some offense here. That player being Mikko Rantanen. He leads the team with 27 points. He is the leading goal scorer with 13 goals and has 14 assists as well. Rantanen just had two points in their most recent game against the Kings. That happened even though the Avalanche had just two goals. Clearly Rantanen is a big part of this attack, so in Sunday’s rematch we expect him to at the very least have one point. In three total games against the Kings this season, Rantanen has five points total, so backing his point prop to go over at plus-money will be our play.

Auston Matthews Over 0.5 Goals (-114)
Auston Matthews saw a two-game goal scoring streak end the other night, but against the Senators, there is plenty of reason to believe he can score here. Matthews now has 21 goals on the season, which is the best in the NHL by a margin of four. In five games against Ottawa, Matthews has six goals, so for the most part, he has had their number. We are still talking about an Ottawa team that is terrible, so slicing through their defense should not be an issue for the best goal-scoring threat in the league. We already expect Toronto to win by at least several goals, so backing Matthews to get involved will be our play.
