We’ve got a massive 14-game slate for Saturday’s NHL card, and that means there are plenty of opportunities for value. Right now, we’re going to be focusing on player props, bringing you a few of our favorite props. Before you bet these, make sure you also check out our picks on the side and total for every game.
Sidney Crosby Over 2.5 Shots on Goal (-132)
This is it. The final game of the regular season for this Penguins team and a chance to clinch the East division at home against probably the worst team in all of hockey. If they do not win, one it would be a huge choke, but two, they could still win the division if the Washington Capitals drop points in both of their games remaining. For today, who other than Sidney Crosby to back? Especially with what is on the line. Like in a recent article, we will look to back Crosby to have shots on goal. He has 159 on the season, which leads his team. That is also an average of 2.94 shots on goal per game. In seven games against the Sabres, he is averaging 3.0 shots on goal and has cashed this prop in four of the games. With the division on the line, we expect Crosby to put Pittsburgh on his back and to have least 3.0 shots on goal against a terrible defensive team.

Roman Josi Over 2.5 Shots on Goal (-132)
As it stands, the Nashville Predators will be in the playoffs. Though just barely as they hold a two-point lead over the Dallas Stars. With both Nashville and Dallas having two games remaining, all the Predators have to do is not drop points. That is easier said than done, given the fact they are playing Carolina, the top team in the division in back to back games. Still, there is reason to believe at least one Predators’ player can make an impact. That player being Roman Josi, a guy we have back before and just recently. Just like the other night, we will look for Josi to have shots on goal. He is second on the team with 138 and is averaging 2.93 shots on goal per game. In the four games he played against Carolina (he did not play in two), Josi has cashed this prop three times. With the stakes being so high, we like Josi to make a real impact with his shooting ability.
Victor Hedman Over 0.5 Points (-132)
The final two games of the regular season will see the Tampa Bay Lightning take on the Florida Panthers. While neither team can overtake Carolina for the top spot in the division, either can claim second. These teams are both sitting on 75 points, so really it just comes down to the teams who drops more points over the two-game series. Tonight we are going to look to back Victor Hedman, who is one of Tampa Bay’s best players and one of the best defensemen in the NHL. He is third on Tampa Bay with 45 points, but leads them with 36 assists. He does only have nine goals on the season, but in a game of this magnitude, we would not be surprised if he found the back of the net. In six games against the Panthers, he has cashed this prop four times and has a total of six goals. For that reason, we will back Hedman to make a contribution.
