After a six-game slate on Sunday, we are back again for another six-game schedule on Monday. The action starts at 7:00 p.m. ET. Among the teams playing tonight are the Toronto Maple Leafs, New York Rangers, and Edmonton Oilers. Here we are going to focus on the player props and will be looking for guys to step up for their teams. Make sure you also check out our picks on the side and total for every game as well.
Auston Matthews Over 0.5 Goals (-102)
There is no question that Auston Matthews started the season slow. However, his recent performances would suggest he could score in Monday’s game against the Canucks. First of all, Matthews leads the NHL with 10 goals. He has scored at least one goal in seven consecutive games and has two goals in each of his last two games. Matter of fact, Toronto’s last two games have been against Vancouver, so Matthews has scored four against them during this stretch. The Canucks have allowed 12 goals to the Maple Leafs over these two games as well, so there is reason to believe Vancouver will have success offensively. Matthews is far too hot right now to fade, therefore, we like him to find the back of the net again.

Artemi Panarin Over 2.5 Shots on Goals (-136)
The New York Rangers and New York Islanders come into this rivalry game dead even in the standings. These teams have already played twice this season, which they split. The Rangers have recently won two games in a row and here we are going to be looking for one player in particular to fire some shots on goal. That player in question being Artemi Panarin. He is leading the Rangers in points (15), assists, (10) and goals (5). Panarin is second on his team in shots with a total of 30, averaging three shots on goal per game. He is coming off a three assist game against Pittsburgh, where he also had five shots on target. Panarin has surpassed this shot total in six of their 10 games this season, so we like for him to find at least three on Monday.

Connor McDavid Over 1.5 points (-130)
Admittingly, we have looked to Connor McDavid a lot this season to cash our player props, but time and time again he delivers. Just the other day we took his 1.5-point prop and McDavid was able to find an assist and the back of the net even in a 6-4 loss to Calgary. The Oilers play the Senators on Monday, so there is once again reason to believe this game will be the McDavid show. He continues to lead the NHL in points, sitting at a total of 26. He is second in the NHL with nine goals and first with 17 assists.
Also, factor in that he averages 2.00 points per game and this prop is looking very promising. In two games against Ottawa this season, McDavid has six assists and one goal for a total of seven points. Given that Edmonton has dominated Ottawa this season, backing the over for this McDavid point prop will be our play.
