We’ve got a two-game slate for Friday’s NHL card, but there are still plenty of opportunities to find some value. Right now, we’re going to be focusing on NHL player props, bringing you a few of our favorite props. Before you bet these, make sure you also check out our picks on the side and total for every game.

Blake Wheeler Over 2.5 Shots on Goal (-124)

Montreal took the first game in the series 5-3 and Winnipeg will be in desperate need of not falling behind 2-0. The other night we went with a Blake Wheeler shots on goal prop and that is where we will look here as well. He had four shots on goal in Game 1, clearing this prop without too much issue. The line has not changed, so we believe Wheeler can clear this line without any trouble. He is averaging 4.0 shots on goal in five postseason games and given the situation, look for Wheeler and the Jets to go all out in terms of offense. This line still just seems to be too low with how Wheeler has been playing, so we will gladly back him to go over this number and to pressure the Canadiens goalie.

Cale Makar Over 0.5 Assists (-110)

The Avalanche followed up their 7-1 win in Game 1 with a 3-2 win in Game 2. They know they can take complete control of this series with Game 3 tonight and will need their top players to make an immediate impact. We are going to go with a point prop tonight, but not one we generally would. We know that Nathan MacKinnon has been amazing during this postseason, but Cale Makar is the one leading them in points through the first two games of this particular series. Makar had four points in Game 1 and added another in Game 2. To break it down further, he has four assists and just one goal. Because it seems unlikely that he will score, we are just going to back him to have at least one assist at what looks to be a fair price point.
