There has arguably never been a series with so much talent on the ice. The Avalanche are an entire all-star team themselves, and the Oilers have the 2 highest point-scorers during these playoffs. With so many skaters to choose from, it can almost be overwhelming. However, that is why we are here, to provide the best value. Along with our player props, be sure to check out all of our NHL analysis.
Leon Draisaitl over 1.5 points (+110)
For as much love as Connor McDavid receives, Leon Draisaitl is always on par with the all-world skater. McDavid deserves his praise, but so does Draisaitl. He ended the season with 110 points, which is still incredible despite McDavid’s 123. He’s also proved that he can get it done by both finding the back of the net himself, and helping teammates do the scoring. Of his 110 points, he had exactly 55 of both goals and assists.
He’s also carried that over to the postseason. After the first 2 rounds, Draisaitl and McDavid were tied with 26 points, by far the most of any skater. Draisaitl tacked on 2 more in Game 1 of this series before being held pointless in Game 2. Now back in Edmonton, he should be primed to get back to his point-scoring ways. There should be no cause for panic, as Draisaitl recorded at least 3 points in each of the 5 games in the second round. Those performances came against arguably the league’s best defensive team in the Flames. We only need 2 from him today, and he should have no issues delivering.
