After back-to-back 16-game slates for March Madness, the NHL is here to keep the good times rolling. We have a massive 13 games on the board, which means 100’s of skaters. With some teams fighting for playoff spots and some teams planning summer vacations, it can be difficult to find sides you like. Instead, we can focus on specific skaters, which is what we’ve done here. We aren’t targeting the early games, but let’s get into our plays so you have plenty of time to lock them in.

Brayden Point over 0.5 goals (+120)
When going over the slate, seeing teams like Montreal Canadiens, Anaheim Ducks and a few other weak defensive teams are always the first targets. We’ll be picking on the former with our first play. If you’d like to play things a bit safer, consider taking Tampa Bay Lightning’s Brandon Hagel to record an assist. However, we’re going to get a bit riskier for a better payout and target his linemate. Alongside former-MVP Nikita Kucherov, the 3 makeup Tampa’s top line. They have an ideal matchup against a Canadiens team that just allowed a ridiculous 9 goals to the other Florida team – the Panthers.
Florida actually scored 7 in the 1st period alone, hit 9 goals in the 2nd period, and easily could have put up double-digits if it was necessary. Therefore, it’s no surprise that we expect a big night from the Lightning, especially at home. Point leads Tampa in goals this season, and it’s not even close. He’s currently at 43, which is also the 5th-most in the NHL. There’s still time for him to achieve a 50-goal season, which would be quite the milestone. With studs like Kucherov and Steven Stamkos skating alongside him, he has plenty of talent to help him find the back of the net.

William Nylander over 0.5 goals (+130)
We’re focused on one of the other perennial great teams in the Atlantic Division. That would be the Toronto Maple Leafs, who have been ahead of the Lightning all season. They always have high expectations with a star-studded roster including Auston Matthews, Mitch Marner, William Nylander and captain John Tavares. In other words, there is plenty of talent around one another to help each other thrive. They don’t have an ideal scheduling situation being on the 2nd night of a back-to-back after playing a great Carolina Hurricanes team. However, the Ottawa Senators should be a welcomed change.
The Sens just allowed 5 goals at home in their last outing and have allowed the 7th-most goals per game since the start of February. While there’s plenty of talent to choose from, we’re focused on Nylander. He’s an absolute sniper that leads the team with 35 goals. Keep in mind that Matthews is coming off a 60-goal season, and it’s still Nylander leading the way. He has captain Tavares skating alongside him, and he’s loved facing Ottawa. Nylander has a goal in 3 of his last 4 games against the Sens, and 4 in total. By night’s end, we expect both of these skaters in blue to inch closer to the 50 and 40-goal marks.
