We are in for a treat on Saturday. The NHL gave us a ridiculously stacked 14-game slate with the first drop of the puck being at 12:30 pm ET and the last drop of the puck being at 10:00 pm ET. There is a good chance your team is suited up but if you’re a fan of one of the teams that have an off day, just kick back and enjoy the entertainment. This will be a fun one. If you are looking to have some action, here are our favorite NHL player props for today. We’re on a wild 6-1 run with our props right now, so let’s see if we can improve that further! Tage Thompson over 1.5 points (+135)
Tage Thompson has been one of the most reliable point producers in hockey since the first drop of the puck this season without really any slumps. He has 32 goals and 60 points in 44 games played this season. Buffalo’s top line of Thompson, Alex Tuch and Jeff Skinner have a combined 152 points in 129 games. Thompson also shares the Sabres’ top power play with those guys plus Rasmus Dahlin, who has 50 points in 43 games played. When Thompson is on the ice, good things happen. He is surrounded by playmakers that only further his opportunities to continue producing. This +135 number for over 1.5 points would be a good value for Thompson facing most teams in the league. But it is especially good considering the Sabres’ opponent on Saturday is the Ducks.
Anaheim has the 3rd-worst point percentage in the league as they are firmly in the race for the top overall pick in the draft. They allow the most goals per game in the NHL with an average of a whopping 4.15 goals allowed. Their penalty kill is 3rd-worst in the league, they allow the most shots on goal per game, and the most goals allowed 5 on 5. For all intents and purposes, this is a very lopsided matchup in favor of the Sabres. That being the case, Buffalo should run away with this one. If both teams just stick to their averages, the Sabres will take care of business handily and there is a good chance Thompson lights it up in that game script.

Jordan Kyrou over 0.5 goals (+150)
The Blues played the Blackhawks twice this season in games that St. Louis won 5-2 and 3-1. Chicago is actually playing well lately, but it is not sustainable. The Blues are the better team and have shown their favorable matchup over the Blackhawks multiple times this season. St. Louis is 2 points out of a playoff spot but they also have more games played than the teams they are chasing. Points are very valuable to the Blues with each game that goes by. They will come out with some jam looking to snag these 2 points. That all sets the stage for the Blues to have a big night.
If the Blues can run up the score again, there is a good chance Jordan Kyrou will be involved. Kyrou leads the Blues with 21 goals and has 43 points in 43 games. He only had 3 points in the first 9 games of the season and has really turned it on since early November and not looked back. He plays on St. Louis’ top line with Brandon Saad and Robert Thomas, both of who are also playing great hockey right now. Kyrou is also on the Blues’ top power play with Thomas, Brayden Schenn, Pavel Buchnevich, and Justin Faulk. Kyrou is a very good player in very good form that plays with other top players and they have a favorable matchup. This is great value for him to score.
