The Dallas Stars were able to keep their season alive by avoiding being swept by the Vegas Golden Knights in the 2023 Western Conference Finals. The series now heads back to Vegas for Game 5 on Saturday night. The Knights won each of the first 2 games at home in overtime, and 3 of the 4 games have now needed extra time. With how close the games have been, backing a winner can be quite nerve-wracking. Instead, we’re focused on the player prop market, and have our top pick for tonight’s Stars vs Golden Knights Game 5.

For our Stars vs Golden Knights player prop, we’re focused on the Vegas captain, Mark Stone. He drew the penalty on Dallas captain Jamie Benn in Game 3, which is why Benn is suspended for this game. The Stars certainly aren’t out of it, but we’re expecting the Knights captain to have a strong night on home ice. He has dealt with injuries the past 2 seasons, but when he’s on the ice, he’s effective. In Stone’s 43 games played this season, he recorded 38 points.
Along with that is 15 points throughout these playoffs, which is behind only Jack Eichel for the most on the team. That also includes an assist in Game 1 of this series, followed by a goal and an assist in Game 2 and both of those games were in Vegas. In fact, Stone recorded a point in all 3 home games against the Edmonton Oilers in the last round.
