A great week in the NHL continues with an excellent 9-game slate today. There is a ton on the line among tonight’s matchups as fringe wildcard teams battle for massively important 2 points. The Blues are chasing the Kings, both of whom are playing tonight, as well as the Islanders, who are chasing down the Capitals. Elsewhere, there is a big-time heavyweight bout between the Bruins and Hurricanes, along with the Jets looking to catch the Avalanche in the Central with a win and Colorado loss. This is a night of hockey you will not want to miss. Let’s get into my 3-leg NHL parlay for today’s action, and you can also find out our experts’ NHL predictions for tonight’s big matchups.
Bruins ML (+130)
Islanders -1.5 (+130)
Kings -1.5 (-122)
NHL parlay odds: +862
Boston Bruins ML over Carolina Hurricanes (+130)
Yes, the Hurricanes have played very well lately. But so too have the Bruins. Boston has gotten the job done all season long to the tune of 103 points and still has a shot at the Presidents’ Trophy. With that in mind, any time you get +130 outright odds like this, it is inherently good value, even against another strong team. Most recently, the Bruins have won 3 of their last 4 games, which came against solid teams like the Panthers, Capitals and Predators. Their loss in that span was 3-1 with an empty-net goal against the Lightning. That is a stretch of more impressive opponents than Carolina has faced recently. The Bruins are a good team in good form with good value here.

New York Islanders -1.5 over Columbus Blue Jackets (+130)
Don’t look now, but the Islanders have won 3 of their last 4 games and 4 of their last 6 to come within just 1 point of a playoff spot. With just 7 games to play, there is no room for error for this New York team. They get a favorable matchup tonight and should come out with plenty of urgency. The Blue Jackets meanwhile are ready for this season to be over. They sit comfortably last in the Eastern Conference and 29th in the NHL. Columbus has won 3 of their last 12 games. The Islanders have won both head-to-head matchups this season by a combined score of 9-3. Look for them to run up the score once again.
Los Angeles Kings -1.5 over San Jose Sharks (-122)
The Kings are another such team looking to further cement their playoff position. They sit a bit more comfortably in the 2nd wild card spot with a 5-point lead over the Blues. There is still no room for complacency, though. A Blues win tonight and Kings loss would bring St. Louis to 3 points back with enough games remaining to surpass Los Angeles. That is a spot the Kings want to avoid.
Fortunately for the Kings, they play the Sharks tonight while the Blues play the Predators. The Sharks have 1 win in their last 11 games and 1 win in their last 12 played at home. They are very comfortably at the bottom of the NHL, 7 points worse than the Blackhawks. There is no excuse for the Kings not to win and win big.
