I've been a capper since my love for sports met my proficiency with numbers and math. The NFL and NCAAF have always been my first loves, followed by the NHL. Although I prefer sports that involve hitting people, I still love capping MLB, soccer, tennis, and even some esports. Living in Florida has its perks like year-round sports of any kind. Believe it or not, the NHL all-star break is just 2 weekends away, but don’t worry, we still have all the action leading up to it covered for you. Thursday’s are generally big nights on the ice, and tonight is no different. We have 9 games on the slate following 7 last night, which means we have several teams on a back-to-back. That factor plays a part in our favorite plays of the day and we’ve broken down each of our NHL parlay picks for you below. Along with our NHL mega parlay, be sure to check out all of our NHL predictions for today’s action!

NHL Parlay Picks (1/25)

Bruins 3-way ML (+110)

Devils ML (+130)

Predators ML (+110)

NHL parlay odds: +914

Boston Bruins 3-way ML over Ottawa Senators (+110)

While back-to-backs generally provide an opportunity to fade teams, we’re actually going to focus on a team instead. After all, the Boston Bruins have been following up last year’s historic season by leading the Atlantic Division once again. Even with them on the road tonight, we still aren’t concerned. They still have yet to record double-digit regulation losses, and they’re facing the team at the very bottom of the division. Ottawa is likely riding high right now after a few wins recently, but they’ve been beating up on lesser teams like the Montreal Canadiens and San Jose Sharks.

When the Senators have faced playoff-caliber teams, they’ve lost quite convincingly. Despite these teams being divisional opponents — we certainly can’t call them rivals — they haven’t faced off against one another yet this season. So, it goes back to the end of last year, but Boston has still held Ottawa to just a single goal in each of their last 2 meetings. Along with the Sens having allowed the 3rd-most goals per game this year, we’re starting our NHL parlay picks with the Bruins to win in regulation.

New Jersey Devils ML over Carolina Hurricanes (+130)

There is another divisional rivalry going on tonight, and it’s a far more evenly matched one. The New Jersey Devils were the surprise of last season, finishing just a single point behind the ‘Canes for the Metro Division title. Both have work to do to catch the New York Rangers this year, but New Jersey has the advantage tonight in terms of Carolina having just been on the ice last night. Not only were they in action, but they faced an incredible team — the aforementioned Bruins.

That was also up at TD Garden in Boston as well, so now they’re the ones traveling into their own home game. It’s also worth noting that the Devils just took down the defending Stanley Cup-champion Vegas Golden Knights by putting up 6 goals on them. They were a top-5 goaltending team heading into that matchup, so even with Carolina known for defense, New Jersey has proven that they can score on anyone. Jack Hughes or not, the Devils have enough firepower for a tired Carolina team.

Nashville Predators ML over Minnesota Wild (+110)

Concluding our NHL parlay picks is yet another divisional rivalry, this time with 2 teams that simply want to get back to their status of postseason regulars. Nashville has been a bit up-and-down, while Minnesota has also been inconsistent, primarily due to injuries to significant skaters like Kirill Kaprizov. The Wild are on a bit of a hot streak, but the Preds have been off since Monday and have been a great road team. They won their last road game out in Los Angeles against the Kings, and they recently beat a great Stars team in Dallas as well.

In the last 5 games between these teams, they’ve traded wins, so if you’re into trends, Nashville is due for theirs. Regardless, it’s Minnesota’s decline in goaltending this year that we want to take advantage of. Future Hall-of-Famer Marc-Andre Fleury may well be on another team before the season ends, as the team is allowing the 8th-most goals per game. Nashville goalie Juuse Saros may only be a longshot to win the Vezina Trophy, but he’s more than strong enough for us to take the Preds to close out our NHL parlay picks.
