This eventful week in the NHL ends with a modest 5-game slate. The good news for hockey fans is it will last from noon eastern all through the afternoon, evening, and night. With 10 teams suited up, there is plenty to watch for in terms of fringe playoff team contention, individual star power, and pure entertainment.

Let’s get into my 3-leg mega parlay for today’s action.

Predators ML (+124)

Flames-Hurricanes Under 6 (+105)

Islanders -1.5 (+124)

Mega Parlay Odds: +928

Nashville Panthers ML (+124)

The Predators are playing great hockey and there is no two ways around it. They have won 10 out of their last 11 games now and have won 6 games on the road. They have also won 14 out of the last 19 games played against the Wild. The Wild have struggled lately, most recently to the tune of dropping 3 out of their last 5 games. During that stretch, their only wins were to hapless Blues and Coyotes teams. The Predators and are the better team in general and lately that also have a generous plus money value.

Calgary Flames vs Carolina Hurricanes Under 6 (+105)

Both the Flames and Hurricanes have looked very good lately. With that, the game script has a good chance to be one in which there is a low total. The Flames have won 5 out of their last 6 games and 7 out of their last 9 games on the road. The Hurricanes have won 4 out of their last 5 games and 5 out of their last 6 on the road. These teams playing as well as they are indicates there may not be a large margin of error between the two. In such games, lower totals are more common and once again, there is plus money for that outcome.

New York Islanders -1.5 (+124)

This is a very lopsided game in favor of the Islanders no matter how you slice it. The Islanders are a fringe playoff team with a lot to play for while the the Ducks are one of the worst teams in the NHL that have lost 14 out of there last 19 games. The Islanders have been rolling lately. They have won 5 straight games and have won 5 out of their last 6 on the road. They have also won the last 5 straight played head to head. This is a good team in good form with incentive to win. They should be able to run up the score on a bad team.
