Arizona Coyotes -1.5 (+140)
The Coyotes have looked very good in the first week-plus of the season. They are 2-2-0, which sounds unremarkable through a small 4-game sample. But their losses were by scores of 2-1 and 1-0 to the Rangers and Islanders. Arizona is just a few goals away from being 4-0-0. The Coyotes get a favorable matchup at home on Saturday against the Ducks. This is a great spot for them to beat a weaker team and they will get a little extra boost from being at home.
The Ducks have actually not looked so bad in three very tough matchups to start the year. But unless they prove otherwise this year, Anaheim still appears to be a rebuilding team. Not that the Coyotes are not. But Arizona is further along and has shown very well early on. The Coyotes have allowed just 8 goals in 4 games and 5 goals in their last 3. If they can continue that strong goal prevention, it should be enough to hold the Ducks in check. That being the case, Arizona should be able to win handily against Anaheim.

Vegas Golden Knights -1.5 (+105)
The Golden Knights look like they have not missed a step since bullying their way to a Stanley Cup championship in June. Vegas is 5-0-0 with a +12 goal differential including wins over the Kraken, Stars and Jets. They were all playoff teams last year and are playoff hopefuls this year. The Golden Knights have beaten both good and bad teams in mostly dominant fashion and that shouldn’t change very much on Saturday when they visit Chicago.
The Blackhawks have started well enough but are still 2-3-0 with a -3 goal differential. They have an uphill battle against Vegas no matter how you slice it. The Golden Knights are a strong team while the Blackhawks are rebuilding. Unless the Golden Knights mail it in, they have the favorable matchup in this one. Even taking the puck line, the plus-money odds have a ton of appeal given what should be the lopsided nature of this game in favor of the Golden Knights.
Seattle Kraken ML (+110)
The Kraken were one of two teams left in the NHL without a win before they beat the Hurricanes on Thursday. Now that the monkey is off their back, they will look to go on a roll. Seattle is now 1-3-1 but can play a little more freely. The Kraken put up a whopping 7 goals on a very good Hurricanes team that excels in goal prevention. If Seattle can roll any bit of that strong offensive form into this game, they will have a good chance to collect their second win in as many games.
The Rangers have been confusing thus far in the young season. They won big against the Sabres in their opener, then lost to Columbus, barely beat Arizona and lost to Nashville. It has been just a week, but the Rangers have not found much consistency in their play yet. The Kraken haven’t yet either, but getting plus-money is good value for a team that may have found their stride and facing an opponent that has not been stellar.
