There are 10 games in the NHL on Monday which makes for a great way to start the week. Due to the U.S. holiday, the majority of the games take place in the afternoon with a central time zone game capping off the action with the Flyers visiting the Blues at 8:00 pm ET. Starting the action will be the Sharks visiting the Bruins at 12:00 pm ET, followed by 4 games at 1:00 pm ET. To celebrate this big lineup, I’ve created a 3-game NHL parlay at +1099 odds. We also have our NHL predictions for today’s big games.
Panthers -1.5 (-135)
Hurricanes ML & Under 6 (+228)
Islanders vs Wild Over 6.5 (+110)
NHL parlay odds: +1099
Florida Panthers -1.5 over Anaheim Ducks (-135)
This game is a tale of a couple of very different teams. The Ducks have the 3rd-fewest points in the NHL as they are firmly in their rebuild. They enter this game having dropped 7 of their last 8 games, as well as 9 of their last 12 on the road. Head to head, the Ducks are winless in the last 7 games.
The Panthers, meanwhile, are on an absolute tear. They just got a 9-game winning streak snapped, but some of those victories were against good teams. The Panthers were treading water for a bit amidst injuries and a bit of inconsistency but are now fully back to being one of the best teams in the NHL. This is a lopsided game in favor of the Panthers and they should be able to cover the puck line tonight.
Carolina Hurricanes ML over Los Angeles Kings & Under 6 (+228)
The Kings and Hurricanes have been trending in very different directions lately. All in all though, this is a heavyweight bout between good teams. But as it pertains to value against the money line, the Hurricanes are the more reliable play. They have won 7 of their last 8 games while the Kings are winless in 8 straight.
The under also brings good value to supplement taking the Hurricanes on the money line. The under has hit in 13 of the Kings’ last 20 games and the over/under is 15-23-1 in their season as a whole. The Kings may be pressing which may make the Hurricanes play preventative. The under looks better in this one.

New York Islanders vs Minnesota Wild Over 6.5 (+110)
The Islanders and Wild have been a couple of the more volatile teams in the NHL lately. After playing themselves into playoff contention, both teams have faltered over the last couple of weeks. The Islanders have lost 5 of their last 7 games and 4 of their last 5 on the road. The Wild have dropped 7 of their last 8 and their last 6 at home.
While this is not a money line pick, poor form indicates instability on both sides of the puck. Both teams have been prone to giving up goals in bunches lately — but both teams can also score in bunches. The pure matchup of these teams looks good for the over.
