I've been a capper since my love for sports met my proficiency with numbers and math. The NFL and NCAAF have always been my first loves, followed by the NHL. Although I prefer sports that involve hitting people, I still love capping MLB, soccer, tennis, and even some esports. Living in Florida has its perks like year-round sports of any kind. As we head into the weekend, we have a solid 6-game slate in the NHL to get us started tonight. It features some incredible matchups, like a potential Western Conference Finals preview between the Colorado Avalanche and Edmonton Oilers. There are also teams still clinging to their playoff lives, those out to play spoiler and squads looking to improve their seeding. We have all 3 cases involved in this NHL mega parlay, so let’s break down each one.

Also be sure to check out all of our NHL predictions for today’s action!

Philadelphia Flyers ML over Buffalo Sabres (+105)

One of the first puck drops of the night features the Philadelphia Flyers looking to hang on to their playoff spot, while the Buffalo Sabres are looking to play spoiler. That’s exactly what they did a few nights ago to help the Flyers by defeating the Washington Capitals. Of course, Philly will be looking to help itself this time around — which it did with relative ease the last time these teams met.

That was also a matchup in Buffalo, which the Flyers won 5-1. They will also be well-rested coming into tonight’s game, as they have been off since Monday. Furthermore, their confidence in hanging on to their playoff spot should be high; they have one of the easiest remaining schedules down the stretch. After facing a non-playoff team in the Sabres tonight, they take on the Columbus Blue Jackets and Montreal Canadiens — who are at the bottom of their respective divisions. A strong end to the season all starts with a win tonight in Buffalo.

New York Rangers 3-way ML over Detroit Red Wings (+100)

With how incredible the New York Rangers have been this season, being on the road is not even remotely a concern. While the Detroit Red Wings are out to maintain their playoff hopes, the Rangers are also not lacking motivation. Not only are they trying to fend off the Carolina Hurricanes from winning back-to-back Metropolitan Division titles, but they also have a great chance at winning the Presidents’ Trophy for the NHL’s best record.

A few weeks ago the Wings looked poised to earn a wild-card spot at the very least, but it has been rough sledding since then. Although Dylan Larkin is back on the ice, they still haven’t been at their best, and New York has already beaten Detroit twice this year. It’s also a series that the Rangers have thrived in overall, winning 7 of their last 10 against the Wings.

Seattle Kraken -1.5 over Anaheim Ducks (+145)

To round things out, I’m going to target a team I backed at the start of the week. The Seattle Kraken were able to sink the San Jose Sharks by multiple goals. While the Sharks are not much of a threat these days, tonight’s opponent isn’t, either. The Anaheim Ducks are ahead of only those same Sharks at the bottom of the Pacific Division, and like the Rangers over the Wings, the Kraken have done well in this matchup.

In fact, they have absolutely dominated Anaheim in their short franchise history. Seattle has now won 6 straight games against the Ducks, which means it hasn’t lost to them since October of 2022. Better yet, of the last 5 wins, 4 of them have been by multiple goals. That includes when these teams met twice in a 3-night span last than 2 weeks ago. The Kraken won those games by a combined score of 8-2, so another Seattle multi-goal win looks good.
