Los Angeles Kings vs Ottawa Senators over 7 (+114)
The over is rolling for both the Kings and Senators early on. Their combined over/under record is 12-3-2, including 6-2-1 combining Senators home games and Kings road games. Even at a higher total of 7 goals, the plus-money odds hold solid value for their overs trends to continue.
Both teams have flexed strong goalscoring but have not been very good in goal prevention. The Kings and Senators rank 1st and 5th in the NHL in goals scored per game. Ottawa and Los Angeles also rank 12th and 13th in the league for the most goals allowed per game. That combination of strengths and weaknesses makes for high totals, as has been the case for both teams. Until or unless anything changes, the over continues to be a good play with these teams.

Dallas Stars ML over Edmonton Oilers (+110)
The Stars getting plus-money odds to win this game is great value. At 5-1-1, the Stars have the 3rd-best point percentage in the NHL while the Oilers are 2-5-1 with the 3rd-worst point percentage in the league. The Oilers may very well have the better high-end talent, but they have not shown it thus far this season.
Will the Oilers figure things out at some point and make the playoffs? Yes, probably. But until they play well with any kind of consistency, they have been far from a reliable play. Dallas has been one of the best teams in the league in the first few weeks of the season.

Vancouver Canucks -1.5 over San Jose Sharks (+120)
Put very plainly, the Canucks have been fantastic this season and the Sharks have been very bad. Bettors do not need to think too much about this one. It would strictly be a matter of comfort level taking Vancouver at -1.5 as opposed to the money line. The value lies in the puck line at +120 which is not bad at all considering the lopsided nature of this game.
The Canucks are 8-1 on the puck line so far this season which should ease any concerns taking Vancouver -1.5. They are 6-2-1 which is good for the 6th-best point percentage in the NHL. Vancouver also has a +15 goal differential which is a +1.67 goal differential per game. The Sharks are 0-8-1 with a -25 goal differential for an average loss by 2.78 goals. There is no need to overthink this one.
