This week in the NHL ends with a modest 5-game slate. Despite a smaller schedule, there are some very good games. Connor Bedard visits the reigning Eastern Conference Champions and a surprising Canucks team visits a surprising Canadiens team among solid matchups on Sunday. The action begins at 1PM ET and will go all through the afternoon and night. This has been a heck of a week of hockey and will be capped off in appropriate fashion.

Anaheim Ducks -1.5 (+120)
NHL mega parlay odds: +930
Florida Panthers -1.5 (-105)
These are different caliber teams. The Panthers are months removed from being 2 games away from winning the Stanley Cup while the Blackhawks are months removed from having the top overall draft pick. While Connor Bedard has made a difference for Chicago, this is still a lopsided game in favor of Florida.
The Panthers are the better team and they have also showed solid form recently. They have won 4 out of their last 5 games and they are 5-1 in their 6 home games this season. The Blackhawks are 5-7-0 with a -10 goal differential. Unless the Panthers completely mail it in on Sunday, they should be able to take care of business just fine.
Vancouver Canucks -1.5 (+140)
The Canucks have been one of the pleasant surprises so far this year. They are 10-2-1 and have the 3rd best point percentage in the NHL. Their impressive start also comes in arguably the toughest division in hockey. This Canucks team is clicking on all cylinders and would be favorable against the puck line regardless of their opponent, let alone a weaker opponent.
The Canadiens just snapped a 4-game losing streak. Meanwhile, the Canucks have won 8 out of their last 9 by an average of 2.89 goals. The Canadiens have had a solid start to the season but they are starting to show their vulnerabilities. Vancouver appears to be the real deal and even +140 are solid odds for them to cover -1.5.
Anaheim Ducks -1.5 (+120)
In what was supposed to be a game between a couple of bad teams, the Ducks look to be the far safer play. They are off to a surprising 7-6-0 start while the Sharks may be a historically bad team. San Jose is 2-11-1 with a -46 goal differential.
The Sharks’ -46 goal differential comes out to a -3.29 goal differential per game. If these teams play even close to their averages, the Ducks will have no issues covering -1.5. The Ducks have impressive wins including over the Bruins, Penguins, and Golden Knights. The Sharks are by far the worst team they will have played and Anaheim should be able to run up the score.
