The Pickswise team nearly swept the board on Sunday with touchdown plays, going 4-1 for +3.8 units. I personally went 3-0 on the Sunday slate but now it’s time to turn our attention to Monday Night Football, where the San Francisco 49ers play host to the New York Jets in this highly anticipated primetime showdown to close out Week 1. Here are my best Jets vs 49ers touchdown scorer bets for MNF, while you can also find out our NFL picks on the side and total.

Jets vs 49ers anytime touchdown scorer pick: Deebo Samuel (+165)
Line available at FanDuel Sportsbook at time of publishing.
With a banged-up Christian McCaffrey entering the season and Brandon Aiyuk being a no-show for virtually all of camp, Deebo Samuel is poised to have a big start to his 2024 season. Fresh off a Super Bowl loss where he played 72% of the offensive snaps and totaled just 44 yards, Samuel is coming into Monday Night Football with a chip on his shoulder.
Head Coach Mike Shanahan is an offensive wizard and will surely have designed gadget plays for Samuel to get him the ball in open space. In 2023, Samuel scored 12 times, including 3 in the running game. Most of the Jets’ attention will be keyed in on McCaffrey in both the pass and run game, while Aiyuk draws a tough matchup whether he’s in the slot or on the outside. McCaffrey’s anytime touchdown price is at an uncomfortable price at -165, and I don’t trust Aiyuk due to the matchup and his off-season saga with limited reps. I’ll gladly take a stab for Deebo Samuel to find the endzone at +165 with confidence that Shanahan will get him the football.

Jets vs 49ers anytime touchdown scorer pick: George Kittle (+200)
Line available at FanDuel Sportsbook at time of publishing.
I’m going to stay on the 49ers side of the football. Along with Deebo Samuel, I’m backing George Kittle to find the endzone at home on Monday night. Kittle is a gamer and has a tendency to show up in marquee matchups. He scored 3 times on Sunday Night Football last season against the Dallas Cowboys and in the Divisional Round against the Green Bay Packers this past postseason. From a football standpoint, you could argue Kittle is the best tight end in the league. According to PFF, Kittle finished the season with an 87.7 grade — beating out Kelce, who scored an 82.6. In large part to Kittle’s elite run blocking, he’s a staple in this 49ers offense and is no slouch with the ball in his hands, while also being a redzone threat at 6’4.
