Tuesday night in the NBA playoffs is Western Conference heavy with the Suns (+3) vs Timberwolves, Pacers (+1) vs Bucks and Mavericks (-2.5) vs Clippers. All 3 home teams won Game 1, but we’re bound to see one of these home teams fall in Game 2. My expectation is that Dallas is that team after not seeing anything go right in Game 1. Suns vs Timberwolves could easily be the most entertaining series out of the first round thanks to Anthony Edwards, but I’m excited to see how Kevin Durant and Devin Booker respond. Let’s dive into my favorite NBA player prop bets for Tuesday, April 23, while you can also find out our NBA picks for each of today’s matchups.

Kevin Durant played nearly 39 minutes on Saturday. He finished with 7 rebounds on 11 rebound chances and 1 assist on 7 potential assists. Using the 39 minutes as a benchmark, I researched how Durant performed this regular season playing in that 38-41 minute range; given the playoffs and being down 1-0, I feel that’s a safe range. There is a 28-game sample size for Durant in that range in which he averages 12.7 R+A and hits this line in 21 of 28 contests (75%).
Durant’s assists in Game 1 were abysmal due to Devin Booker’s uncharacteristic 5-for-16 effort and Jusuf Nurkic playing only 26 minutes in foul trouble; those are his top 2 assist recipients. I like Booker to get back on track and see Durant in more of a facilitator role. Also, his rebounding should continue to be above that 5.5 mark as the Suns go small and Durant plays the 5.
