Show Bio

Like most Lithuanians, I started watching basketball from the age of six. I'm based out in London and played basketball at the University of Lincoln here in the UK. I had always had an interest in the NBA but things really took off in the summer of 2010. That year Linas Kleiza led Lithuania to 3rd place at the World Championships and signed with the Toronto Raptors to replace the departing Chris Bosh. I've been a Raptors fan since that day and I've not missed a game since. I've been handicapping games for more than a decade, specializing in player props. There is a massive 12-game NBA slate tonight that is jam-packed with opportunities. I had picked out my 4 favorite player props for the action, but its seems like Adam Ronis and I have the same idea about Dorian Finney-Smith! I will let him explain why the Mavericks forward looks set to have a great night tonight.

You can find our full game previews here. But for now, check out my player prop selections below.

Jakob Poeltl over 23.5 points + rebounds (-124)

Jakob Poeltl of the Spurs will return to take on his former team, Toronto, tonight, having had success against them earlier this year. In the first meeting against the Raptors, he managed to score 19 points and grab 12 rebounds in just 23 minutes. He has a clear size advantage over most of the Raptors’ frontline, and could be set to dominate once more. Over the last 9 games he has upped his minutes per game to 31.1, which should help him further. Poeltl has also scored 16 or more points in 5 of his last 6 games, hitting this line on 4 occasions. With his size advantage tonight, the rebounds should work in his favor.

Mason Plumlee over 7.5 rebounds (-122)

It seems like Charlotte’s Mason Plumlee’s rebounding ability is being underestimated here once again. He has faced off against the Celtics 3 times this season, averaging 12.7 boards per game. In none of the games did he manage fewer than 10 rebounds. Apart from that, he has been in good form, averaging 9.2 rebounds over the last 10 games. With Robert Williams III having taken and missed his only 3-pointer this season, he will not force Plumlee to step far out of the paint. Williams is also averaging 36 minutes per game in March, so Plumlee will be up against him for most of the time. That should really help his rebounding numbers.

De’Andre Hunter over 1.5 made threes (+102)

De’Andre Hunter of the Hawks managed one of his better scoring games of the season against the Milwaukee Bucks when the teams last faced off. He scored 20 points on 2 of 6 shooting from beyond the arc. The 6 attempts marked a significant increase from his season average of 3.7. The Bucks seem content to give up the 3-point shot, allowing the most attempts and makes to opponents in the NBA this season. Hunter is likely to play a lot of minutes tonight as he is a good defensive matchup for Khris Middleton. With more accomplished shooters around him, I expect the Bucks to try to get him the 3-point looks as opposed to Danilo Gallinari, for example. With Hunter making 37.5% of his shots this month, he should hit on a couple.
