Like most Lithuanians, I started watching basketball from the age of six. I'm based out in London and played basketball at the University of Lincoln here in the UK. I had always had an interest in the NBA but things really took off in the summer of 2010. That year Linas Kleiza led Lithuania to 3rd place at the World Championships and signed with the Toronto Raptors to replace the departing Chris Bosh. I've been a Raptors fan since that day and I've not missed a game since. I've been handicapping games for more than a decade, specializing in player props. The NBA has an incredible 11-game slate on tonight, with plenty of player prop opportunities to look out for. The pick of tonight’s action could be the matchup between the Denver Nuggets and the Golden State Warriors. It should be an interesting battle between one of the leagues elite point guards and one of its most dominant bigs.

You can find our full game previews here. But for now, let’s check out my NBA player prop picks below.

Nikola Jokic over 13.5 rebounds (-105)

The last time these sides met Nikola Jokic was able to control the glass, as he recorded a monster 19-rebound night. Tonight looks set to be more of the same for the Serbian big man. The reason being is that if the Warriors want to stop him from dominating in the post, they must matchup Kevon Looney against him. Golden State’s center offers very little threat offensively and cannot space the floor. It creates prime conditions for Jokic to sit in the paint and feast on misses. He has had recent success of that, too. In his last 3 games he has rebounding totals of 16, 15, 15. With a favorable matchup, he should be able to extend that run.

Jakob Poeltl over 9.5 rebounds (-118)

The Oklahoma City Thunder are a great opponent for any center in the NBA looking for a big rebounding night. Their leading rebounder this season is rookie point guard Josh Giddey. Inside the paint they only have Derrick Favors to contend with, too, as guys like Isaiah Roby lack size. They are currently giving up the most rebounds per game in the league and Jakob Poeltl should reap the rewards of that here. The Austrian has 3 double digit rebounding games in his last 5, coming just a rebound short on another occasion. Against a team that is also dead last in true shooting percentage this season, Poeltl should flourish.

Deandre Ayton over 9.5 rebounds (-114)

This one mainly comes down to a difference in size. The Houston Rockets tend to go with Christian Wood at the center slot, which can leave them disadvantaged. He has a slight frame for a player in that position, something that cannot be said for Deandre Ayton. Look for the Suns’ center to dominate the interior and to be a major contributor of offensive rebounds for his side. The Rockets are 21st in the league in opponent offensive rebounds per game and can be exploited. With the pace that his opponents play at too, the increased number of field goal attempts should allow the Suns center his 3rd straight double-digit rebounding performance.
