The NBA has a 9-game slate on Wednesday and I have once again picked out my favorite player props for the night’s action. One of the most intriguing games tonight will be between the Brooklyn Nets and Sacramento Kings. The Kings have lost 7 straight games but will be taking on an opponent that is struggling too. The Nets have dropped 5 straight and will be playing their second game in as many nights.
You can find our full game previews here. But for now, check out my player prop selections below.
Kyrie Irving over 26.5 points (-110)
It’s another road game for the Brooklyn Nets tonight and another opportunity for Kyrie Irving to join the team. He has been playing well when he gets on the court, with 27 or more points in 4 of his last 6 games. In the 2 games where he was not able to hit that mark, he managed 24 and 26 points. He will have a favorable opponent tonight in the Sacramento Kings. Over the last 10 games they are 6th in pace and 29th in defensive rating. They have also allowed the 2nd-most 3-pointers during that time and are 20th in opponent points in the paint. De’Aaron Fox could be back too. The guard has been horrible defensively this season and could be playing hurt, so Irving should have a field day. Everything points to a big scoring night from the Nets star.

Jaren Jackson Jr. over 1.5 made threes (+165)
Jaren Jackson Jr. has made just a single 3-pointer in 5 straight games but that could be about to change. Steven Adams is questionable to play for the Grizzlies, which would force Jackson Jr. to spend more time at center. That could mean that Mitchell Robinson picks him up. Due to the rim protection he provides, I expect the Grizzlies to try to stretch the floor to open the paint up for Ja Morant. Jackson Jr. has attempted 5 or more shots from deep 6 times this month and could be in line for something similar. The Knicks are 24th in opponent 3-point attempts and 22nd in opponent makes. Expect them to let him shoot. Earlier in his career he shot close to 40% from deep, but that has dropped to 31.4% this season. With this opportunity, he should have the ability to bounce back and knock a few down.

Joel Embiid over 32.5 points (-108)
Having been rested in the Philadelphia 76ers’ last game against the Memphis Grizzlies, Joel Embiid should be back refreshed and with a vengeance. He will get the chance to return to his dominant self against the undersized Washington Wizards. Thomas Bryant has been ruled out for tonight’s game, which leaves the Wizards with Daniel Gafford and Montrezl Harrell. Gafford is undersized and should be overpowered in the post whilst Harrell is not a great one-on-one defender. Embiid is averaging 34 points per game in 2 contests against them and should have similar success tonight. He has scored 33 or more points in 5 of his last 6 games and considering he is rested, look for that to continue. After all, over the last 10 games the Wizards are 22nd in opponent points in the paint and 23rd in defensive rating. Back the over on Embiid’s points.
