It’s NBA Sunday and we are getting a treat with both NBA playoff games being on during the day. Both are on ABC with the Hawks/76ers starting things off at 1pm ET. When they wrap up, we’re going to see Game 7 of the Mavericks/Clippers series. No staying up late to see what happens. Everyone will know where their NBA bets stand before the sun goes down. What a world. Just like any other day, I’m looking at the NBA player props market for some action. Here are two that stand out the most.
Don’t forget to check what our NBA analysts have backed with side and total picks for both games today. You can also follow me on Twitter for any other bets I might throw out throughout the day.
Danny Green over 10.5 points (+114) *alt line

FanDuel lets us play alternative lines on almost every player prop. The advantage for us is the fact that we don’t have to lay $120 to get $100 on some guy to score 10 or more points. If we want, we can lay $100 to get $114 on said guy to score 11 or more points.
Danny Green is our guy Sunday. I don’t expect Joel Embiid to be on the floor for Philadelphia in Game 1. Anytime a usage monster like Embiid is unavailable, it opens up an opportunity for other guys. A guy like Danny Green.
Green is a three-point shooter who does little else other than shoot threes. Of his 35 shots in the Washington series, 27 were from beyond the arc. At 10.5 points, we don’t need him to go off to get home. In the first round, he scored at least 11 points in three of the five games. One game was a blowout and in the other he took seven shots and just didn’t make enough of them. I would expect Green to get enough shots in Game 1 of this series to just go over 10.5 points.

Luka Doncic over 31.5 points (+110) *alt line
Line available at publishing at FanDuel Sportsbook
Another alt line worth looking at is Luka Doncic’s point total at 31.5 +110. It’s one point higher than what’s being offered for -116 which is worth it in my eyes. I love a plus moneyline and this one looks perfect.
Being a closeout situation, you have to think Doncic will ball hog a bit. He took 24 shots in Game 6 which isn’t a lot by his standards but he only hit 11 of them. Still, he ended up with 29 points which would not get us home on this number but it is promising.
In a Game 7 setting, it’s hard to imagine Doncic only taking 24 shots. He has had games in this series where he hoisted up 37, 29, and 28 attempts. In one game, he scored or assisted on all but six Mavericks’ field goals.
If the Mavericks have any chance of taking down the Clippers Sunday, Doncic will have to be a high-volume scorer. I think they know that and I think he takes a minimum of 27 shots. If that happens, you have to think he will score at least 32 points.
Given the matchup and situation, this is another one of my favorite NBA player props today.
