Show Bio

Like most Lithuanians, I started watching basketball from the age of six. I'm based out in London and played basketball at the University of Lincoln here in the UK. I had always had an interest in the NBA but things really took off in the summer of 2010. That year Linas Kleiza led Lithuania to 3rd place at the World Championships and signed with the Toronto Raptors to replace the departing Chris Bosh. I've been a Raptors fan since that day and I've not missed a game since. I've been handicapping games for more than a decade, specializing in player props. There is a major clash in the Eastern Conference tonight between the Atlanta Hawks and the Brooklyn Nets. Both teams are in a 3-way tie along with the Charlotte Hornets, The loser of this game will likely find themselves having to win 2 play-in games in order to make the playoffs. That should mean that we get a playoff atmosphere tonight.

You can find our full game previews here. But first, let’s check out my player prop selections below.

Kyle Lowry over 6.5 assists (+106)

The last time that Kyle Lowry of the Miami Heat took on the Chicago Bulls, he managed to record a 14-assist night. He is one of the best playmakers in the league, ranking 9th in assists with an average of 7.5. Against the Bulls he should have plenty of success running the pick and roll with Bam Adebayo, as Nikola Vucevic of the Bulls can struggle guarding away from the paint. Over the last 10 games the Bulls are just 20th in defensive rating, so this could turn into a high-scoring game. With a roll threat in Adebayo and shooters like Tyler Herro and Duncan Robinson around him, the conditions are set for another great passing night for the point guard against the Bulls.

Kevin Huerter over 2.5 made threes (-106)

Over the last 10 games the Brooklyn Nets are 22nd in the league in opponent 3-pointers made and 23rd in opponent 3-point percentage. That should make it tough for them to lock down Kevin Huerter of the Atlanta Hawks, who has been shooting well. He has knocked down 20 shots from deep over his last 4 games, hitting this line in each one. He has not shot below 40% in any of those games, upping his percentage from his season average of 39.2%. The focus for the Nets tonight will likely be to take Trae Young out of the game and to take away his lob threats. I expect that will result in increased scoring opportunities for Huerter, and his recent play suggests he can take advantage. Back the over.

Klay Thompson over 3.5 made threes (-115)

The Utah Jazz have had issues defending 3-point shots of late, ranking 26th over the last 10 games in opponent 3-point percentage. If they allow that level of efficiency tonight, Klay Thompson of the Golden State Warriors could make them pay. He has not been shy shooting the ball, attempting 10 or more 3-pointers in 7 of his last 8 games. Thompson hit at least 4 threes in 5 of those 7 games and should be set to do something similar tonight. He is a career 41.6% 3-point shooter and against a team that does not close out well to 3-pointers, he should be getting back to that. With 10 or more attempts, Thompson should hit this line.
