With 6 games on tonight’s NBA slate, I have picked out my favorite player prop selections for the evening’s action. Of today’s games, the standout matchup will be between the Brooklyn Nets and Golden State Warriors. Although Kevin Durant is unavailable for today’s game, this very well could be a preview for this season’s NBA Finals.
You can find our full game previews here. But now let’s jump right into my player prop picks.
Joel Embiid over 11.5 rebounds (-130)
Over the last 8 games, Joel Embiid has been terrific on the glass. He has managed to pull down 12 or more rebounds in 6 of his last 8 games. With a favorable matchup against the Sacramento Kings tonight he should be able to continue that good run of form. The Kings are currently 28th in the league in opponent offensive rebounds per game and 24th in opponent rebounds overall. Over the last 10 games the Kings are 5th in the league in pace and just 27th in true shooting percentage. That should lead to an increased number of field goal attempts in this game and with the inefficiency of their shooting, rebounding opportunities should be there tonight. Over the stretch the Kings are just 23rd in rebounding percentage, so they are unlikely to put up much of a fight for these boards.
Matchup-wise. Embiid will see the majority of his time on the floor up against Richaun Holmes. He operates mostly on the inside, which should allow Embiid to remain in the paint, contesting shots and picking up rebounds. On top of that, Embiid has a major size advantage in terms of weight over Holmes. It should allow him to have success boxing out his opponent while also creating offensive rebound opportunities. With the size of Embiid, Holmes should struggle stopping him from establishing deep post position, which would help him clean up misses. I can see Embiid with at least 13 rebounds tonight, so this is playable to over 12.5 too.

Kyrie Irving over 2.5 made threes (+132)
Over the last 6 games, Kyrie Irving has been shooting consistently for the Nets, especially from beyond the arc. He has made at least 3 shots from deep in 4 of his last 6 games. He will be going up against a Golden State Warriors team that he should be very motivated to take on, as he will be facing off against Steph Curry. The Nets find themselves on a 3-game losing streak at the moment, with 2 of those games being at home without Irving. I expect the Nets guard to come back into the team firing, trying to help end their current poor run. He has attempted 8 or more shots from deep in 3 of his last 6 and it is what I am expecting from him here. With Irving shooting 36.6% from the 3-point line, that should be enough for this line to hit.
