Show Bio

Like most Lithuanians, I started watching basketball from the age of six. I'm based out in London and played basketball at the University of Lincoln here in the UK. I had always had an interest in the NBA but things really took off in the summer of 2010. That year Linas Kleiza led Lithuania to 3rd place at the World Championships and signed with the Toronto Raptors to replace the departing Chris Bosh. I've been a Raptors fan since that day and I've not missed a game since. I've been handicapping games for more than a decade, specializing in player props. There are 6 games on tonight’s NBA slate with exciting games on as always. The pick of the bunch for me will be the meeting between the New York Knicks and the Los Angeles Lakers. These are 2 of the richest teams in the league, but if they continue losing they could be set to fall very short of preseason expectations.

You can find our full game previews here. But for now, check out my player prop picks below.

Anthony Davis over 9.5 rebounds (-105)

Anthony Davis has been a rebounding machine in the last couple of games. He managed 15 against the Portland Trail Blazers at the start of the month and followed it with 17 against the Los Angeles Clippers. His opponent tonight will be the New York Knicks, with the visitors having a worse true shooting percentage than either team. Combine that with the fact that the team do not have great shooting bigs, the conditions should be set for another good night for Davis here. Randle can step out to the 3-point line but he shot just 24.6% from out there in January. I expect the Lakers to encourage this shot and have Davis drop back to help rebound. Over the last 10 games the Knicks are 27th in offensive rating. Don’t be surprised the Lakers star continues to clean up those misses tonight.

Spencer Dinwiddie over 4.5 rebounds (+114)

With Bradley Beal remaining out for the Washington Wizards, Spencer Dinwiddie is likely to play a larger role once more. In the 2 games since he has gone down, Dinwiddie has played at least 30 minutes in each. In that time he seems to be more active on the glass, with totals of 7 and 12 rebounds respectively. Overall he has managed at least 5 rebounds in 5 of his last 6 games. The Wizards expected a player capable of contributing across the board when they traded for him and he is starting to deliver. The Suns may not be the easiest team for guards to rebound against due to the shooters they have, but others have had success. Recently James Harden, Anthony Edwards, and Devin Vassell have all managed 5 or more. Look for the Wizards guard to join them tonight.

Richaun Holmes over 7.5 rebounds (-118)

Over the last 10 games no team has given up more rebounds to opponents than the Oklahoma City Thunder. That is something Richaun Holmes should be set to exploit once more. He is averaging 10.5 rebounds per game against them in their 2 meeting so far this season and should have another good performance on Saturday. Holmes will be up against the likes of Mamadi Diakite and Derrick Favors as Jeremiah Robinson-Earl is out. Between the available big men, they have made just 2 of 15 shots from deep on the season, meaning Holmes will not be dragged out of the paint much. With Diakite also being only 6’9” tall, Holmes should enjoy a size advantage over him too. The Kings center has 8 or more rebounds in 3 of his last 6. With a favorable matchup, expect him to achieve this once again.
