After a wild night of NFL football yesterday it is time to shift our attention to the NBA once more. We have a strong 8-game slate on our hands tonight. The Golden State Warriors and the Philadelphia 76ers will be looking to continue their chase for the top seeds in their conferences. Up against them tonight are the Houston Rockets and Memphis Grizzlies respectively. The Grizzlies themselves are looking to get themselves into that mix.
As always you can find our full game previews here. But for now, check out my NBA player prop selections below.
OG Anunoby over 2.5 made threes (+120)
The Atlanta Hawks have struggled to defend the perimeter so far this season. They currently rank in the bottom 10 of the NBA in opponent 3-point attempts, makes and percentage. OG Anunoby is one of the players that will look to take advantage of this. He has been letting it fly from deep this month, with 7 or more attempts in 11 of the 15 games he has appeared in. Of those 11 games he was able to knock down at least 3 shots in 8 contests. On the season he is shooting at just over a 34% clip from deep so as long as he gets his shots up here, this one has a very good chance of hitting. The Raptors have a pair of guards in Fred VanVleet and Gary Trent Jr. that should be able to exploit Trae Young tonight and collapse the defense. Look for Anunoby to be ready on the perimeter to make the Hawks pay for that.

Steven Adams over 2.5 assists (+115)
Steven Adams has done a fantastic job of passing the ball so far this month. He is averaging 3.5 assists per game in the month of January. Through the 11 games he has played in 2022, he has failed to reach 3 assists on just 2 occasions. The 76ers are resting Joel Embiid tonight. However, Adams will likely have to contend with another big body in Andre Drummond. Philly’s big man is far less comfortable on the perimeter which should make Adams a prime candidate to be used in give-and-go plays. The New Zealander is one of the best screen-setters in the league and with players as effective in the paint as Ja Morant curling off from him, assist opportunities should be present for him once more here.

Al Horford over 5.5 rebounds (+100)
Throughout this month Al Horford has seen his minutes yo-yo, but tonight he should be able to stay on the floor. The Miami Heat tend to play P.J. Tucker along with a traditional center in their starting 5. Tucker is not someone that is a major offensive threat off the dribble which should allow Horford to pick him up with ease. On the other end Tucker may be forced to pick up one of either Jayson Tatum or Jaylen Brown, which could leave Horford with a mismatch size wise. As a result, I expect him to be effective on the glass tonight. He is averaging 6 rebounds per game in January, having hit or exceeded the average in 6 of his last 8 games. With this being a favorable matchup, I expect him to see closer to 30 minutes of playing time — more than enough time for him to hit this line.
