I was just hanging around acting like I was doing something on the computer and then bam!, the Boston Celtics vs Cleveland Cavaliers lines dropped on DraftKings. That’s when I checked and saw that Al Horford and Josh Richardson were good to go for the Celtics, which meant I was able to lay down a wager on Ricky Rubio. What a world we live in.

I usually don’t like taking the combo lines because if a guy is going to get points + rebounds then he most likely will hit his points. Why not just play that? I hope that makes sense. Still, FanDuel tossed out an 18.5 on Ricky Rubio tonight that I think is definitely worth a wager. Even at a disgusting -122 price.
They used to make Rubio walk around with a Hello Kitty backpack when he was a rookie in Minnesota. That’s mean but I think it turned him into the man he is today, which was the point of the exercise (probably). What he is today is a guy you can trust to get buckets while also making sure his teammates get buckets. There aren’t enough guys like him in the NBA today.
I almost never do these but Rubio legit has a chance to drop 8+ dimes tonight and his number is 6.5. The other thing is he could score 20+ points as the guy has taken 15+ shots in 3 of his last 4 games. The books have yet to adjust Rubio after his change in role following the Collin Sexton injury and that’s fine by me. I think he’s a good bet to easily go 20+ tonight in this market.
