The NBA conference semifinals continue with a double-header on TNT on Monday night. The Miami Heat will be hosting the New York Knicks in Game 4 of their series. Jimmy Butler has been phenomenal during this postseason and will be looking to go back on the road with a significant 3-1 lead for his team. Then later Stephen Curry will continue his showdown with LeBron James as the Golden State Warriors visit the LA Lakers.
You can check out our NBA picks on the side and total for today’s games, but for now let’s dive into my favorite NBA player prop bets for tonight.
Kyle Lowry, MIA, Over 18.5 points + rebounds + assists (-113)
Heat point guard Kyle Lowry has played a larger role for Miami in this series against New York. He has attempted at least 9 shots in each of the 3 games so far while also recording a combined 10 assists and rebounds in 2 of the games. A similar combination of factors would put him in a great positioned to hit the over on this line in 3 of 4 overall games. Of the Heat players who have been seeing at least 20 minutes of playing time, Lowry is 3rd in usage rate. He has been taking reigns of the team when put into the game off the bench. There is no reason to suggest that will change on Monday. That should help him put together another strong line across the board.
Anthony Davis, LAL, Over 3.5 blocks (+155)
Anthony Davis has been a defensive monster so far in the playoffs. After averaging 4.3 per game in the series against the Memphis Grizzlies, he has continued where he left off by averaging 3.7 against the Warriors. He has hit the over on this line in 2 of the 3 games. Look for more that to continue on Monday. With Draymond Green not being a threat shooting the ball, Davis is left free to roam defensively. Look for him to impact shots as a help defender. Considering he will be the biggest player on the floor, Davis should be able to turn these contests into blocks once more. He has been successful at staying out of foul trouble, too, so playing time should not be an issue.
Klay Thompson, GWS, Over 4.5 made threes (+106)
Klay Thompson had his first subpar game from the perimeter in Game 3 of the series, but I am expecting him to bounce back tonight. Despite making 3 of 9 shots the last time out, he is still draining 47.2% of his 3-point attempts this series. Couple that with the fact that he is averaging 12 attempts from beyond the arc per night, and he should be well positioned to hit this line. The visitors are likely to continue making Curry their focus defensively, which should help Thompson get space off the ball.
With Davis continuing to roam the paint, the Warriors should continue looking to attack from the outside. The Lakers currently allow more 3-point attempts per game than any other remaining playoff team. Thompson will be among those taking advantage. With his efficiency, he should be able to hit the over.
