There are 5 games on the NBA slate on Thursday. To start off the day there is an early tip off between the Chicago Bulls and Detroit Pistons. The sides are playing in Paris today, making it the first league game in Europe since 2020. Then later in the day we have a TNT double-header as the Golden State Warriors visit the Boston Celtics and the Brooklyn Nets take on the Phoenix Suns.

Killian Hayes Over 24.5 points + rebounds + assists (-115)
Having grown up in France, Killian Hayes will have somewhat of a homecoming today as the Bulls take on the Pistons in Paris. With the crowd likely behind him, I expect him to put together a good performance. In 2023 he is averaging 14.6 points and 8 assists per game. Over the last 10 games the Bulls are just 24th in opponent assists per game while also ranking 18th in defensive rating. Vucevic is not the most mobile big man, either, and Hayes should have success attacking him in pick and roll situations. However, the Bulls center will have a size advantage on the inside meaning guards like Hayes will have a bigger role of helping out on the glass. Look for him to put a strong line across the board as a result.

Scottie Barnes Over 11.5 rebounds + assists (-122)
Scottie Barnes has been stuffing the stat sheet for the Toronto Raptors. He is averaging a combined 13.1 assists and rebounds in the month of January. He has also been able to hit the over on this line in 5 of his last 6 games. This might have been helped by his recent poor 3-point shooting. He is making just 18.8% of his attempts in 2023, which has allowed teams to put their centers up against him. That then gives Barnes more responsibility on the glass while also giving him more space on offense. It makes him a bigger threat in transition, too, as most centers cannot match him in the open court. That is where his playmaking capabilities are on full show. Expect for his streak to continue against the Minnesota Timberwolves.

James Harden Over 10.5 assists (-106)
Philadelphia 76ers star James Harden has been incredible passing the ball lately. He has managed to record 11 or more in 6 of his last 7 games, including 2 15-assist performances. He should have a great chance of keeping that going against the Portland Trail Blazers. The Blazers have an undersized backcourt with Damian Lillard and Anfernee Simons. Couple that with a slow-footed Jusuf Nurkic in the paint and Harden should have plenty of success running the pick-and-roll with Joel Embiid. If Portland sends help, Harden is more than capable of finding teammates on the perimeter. With the 76ers 4th in the league in 3-point percentage this season, they are unlikely to waste many chances that he helps to create.
