It’s always good to start off the week with a winner and that’s exactly what happened last night as my NBA mega parlay cashed at +905 odds. I’m going for back-to-back winners tonight and for our 5th NBA parlay win in 6 days. We’re on fire right now so let’s stay hot! In addition to today’s NBA mega parlay, you can also read our NBA picks for tonight’s individual matchups.
Raptors vs Hornets over 225 points (-110)
Warriors -2 (-112)
Hawks ML (+460)
NBA parlay odds: +1923
Toronto Raptors vs Charlotte Hornets over 225 points (-110)
Both of these teams are really struggling right now, so this might be the only chance either one of them has to win a game before we get to the all-star break. Toronto has lost 3 straight games and each of those have seen more than the 225 points we have here. The Hornets have lost 8 in a row and 3 of their last 4 have gone over this number as well. We also saw 235 points scored between them the last time they played at Spectrum Center back in early December.
Toronto’s Scottie Barnes just got named to the All-Star team as an injury replacement and has been on a tear this season. I expect him to showcase why he’s worthy of a spot in the All-Star Game. For Charlotte, Miles Bridges has excelled lately, scoring 41 and 30 points in 2 of his last 4 games, and he’s averaging 23.5 per game during his last 10. With the trade deadline almost here, he might want to try and impress potential suitors with yet another big-time performance on offense here. All in all, I don’t expect to see a lot of defense as these two teams rank just 25th and 27th in defensive rating over their last 10 games. Let’s back the over.
Golden State Warriors -2 over Philadelphia 76ers (-112)
Tough times are ahead for the 76ers as they continue life without their best player and MVP Joel Embiid. The big fella will be out for at least a month and during that time the Sixers are almost guaranteed to drop in the standings. The question is, how many games can they pull out without Embiid? In 15 games when he doesn’t play, they’ve got just 4 wins and cover the spread around 25% of the time. As underdogs, the Sixers are just 3-11 this season and oddsmakers see them as 2-point dogs in tonight’s contest.
With tonight’s game being the first of a back-to-back for the Warriors, I expect them to go all out here. They beat Philadelphia 119-107 just a week ago at Chase Center in the game when Joel Embiid got injured. Stephen Curry had 37 points in that win and he’s averaging 33.7 over his last 9 outings while shooting 50% from the field and 44.7% from three. Golden State is 15-5 in the last 20 meetings and 6-3 ATS in the last 9 against Philadelphia. The Sixers are just 1-6 in their last 7 games and I expect Golden State to add to their misery tonight.

Atlanta Hawks ML over Boston Celtics (+460)
And finally, for a bit of an odds boost, I have the Atlanta Hawks upsetting arguably the best home team in the NBA. Yes, the Celtics are 23-3 SU at TD Garden this season and yes they are coming off a 40-point blowout win over Memphis. However, after that huge win over the Grizzlies, they might come into tonight’s game a bit more relaxed than normal. We’ve seen this movie already in the NBA.
Atlanta has played really well lately and they just had a 4-game win streak snapped by the NBA’s best team, the Clippers. There is no shame in that. Trae Young has taken it upon himself to prove everyone wrong about not getting selected for the All-Star Game. He’s averaging 28.9 points and 11.1 assists on the road this season, he had 33 points in the Hawks’ first visit to Boston earlier in the season. You never know with these Hawks, and if they get hot early from three-point land, they’re capable of beating almost everyone on any given night. So why not back them at +460 odds to pull off the upset here?
