Philadelphia 76ers ML over Orlando Magic (+132)

The 76ers kept their foot on the gas pedal last night as they won and covered against the Charlotte Hornets 110-104. They got 29 points from Paul George while Tyrese Maxey added 21 and 7 assists. Joel Embiid did not play and he has been upgraded to game-time decision so there is a chance he might suit up. Even if he does not, I still like the 76ers’ chances against the Magic, who got absolutely destroyed by the Knicks yesterday.

Paolo Banchero is still missing for Orlando and although they’ve been on a really solid run without him, his absence is slowly catching up to them. Their road record isn’t good either at just 6-8, while on the road in Philadelphia, they’ve accumulated just 1 win in their last 12 visits. Philly has thoroughly dominated this matchup with 14 wins in 16 meetings and I expect them to add to that in a battle between 2 teams playing their 2nd game in 2 nights.

Indiana Pacers vs Brooklyn Nets Over 228 (-112)

Both the Pacers and Nets are on 3-game losing streaks, so it’s not easy getting a good read on who could cover the spread here. Instead, I am opting to back the total to go Over as the next leg in my NBA parlay picks. The line has been set at a somewhat conservative 228 points, a number that has easily been surpassed in 4 straight Pacers games and in 3 of the last 5 Nets games. Neither team has shown an effort on the defensive end over the last week or so of play.

Indiana is allowing 118.6 points per 100 possessions (26th defensive rating) while the Nets are at 117.4 (24th). The Pacers are also one of the fastest teams in the NBA, ranking 6th with an average of 101.1 possessions per game. With both teams looking to snap their losing streaks, they should put in the extra effort on offense here. We saw more than 228 points in 6 of the last 9 meetings head-to-head, and I expect there will be no shortage of action in this game.

Minnesota Timberwolves -2.5 over Los Angeles Clippers (-108)

The Timberwolves have weathered the storm a little bit with back-to-back wins over the Lakers and Clippers to get back to .500. Their road form has been a problem with just 3 wins in 9 games but they have a seemingly favorable matchup against the Clippers tonight. They just beat this team 93-92 less than a week ago, and overall in the last 7 meetings, the T-Wolves are 6-1 SU and 5-2 ATS.

LA played last night and despite a big win over the Blazers they were eliminated from the Emirates NBA Cup. That means this will be a 2nd night of a back-to-back scenario for them, so there could be some tired legs out there. Anthony Edwards didn’t have the best of games against the Lakers on Monday, but I feel like a bounce-back performance is on the cards here. In his last 5 games against the Clippers, Edwards is averaging 28.2 points per game. If he can reach those numbers and the Timberwolves’ defense can do a solid job then Minnesota should come out on top. I’ll give them the benefit of the doubt and back them to cover on the road here to wrap up tonight’s NBA parlay.
