We’ve reached the midway point of the work week and there’s no shortage of action in tonight’s 9-game NBA slate. NBA TV will air the Lakers vs Spurs game live from 8:00 pm ET and I’ve included that game in tonight’s NBA mega parlay, along with 2 other picks for +789 odds. You can go to our NBA picks for our predictions on the biggest games tonight, but for now, let’s get into my NBA parlay.
Lakers -2.5 (-110)
Bucks -6.5 (-110)
Nets ML (+144)
NBA parlay odds: +789
Los Angeles Lakers -2.5 over San Antonio Spurs (-110)
It’s a rare sight to see a Lakers loss when both LeBron James and Anthony Davis go over 30 points and the team shot over 50% from the field. The good news is they have a quick turnaround to make amends, as they head to San Antonio to take on the slumping Spurs. The oddsmakers have the road team as just 2.5-point favorites against a team that’s on a 17-game losing streak. That’s a clear indicator that the Lakers could rest a few starters here, but a storied franchise like them shouldn’t allow themselves to lose to a team that last won a game back in early November.
San Antonio managed just 82 points in their latest loss at Houston on Monday. Only the Detroit Pistons have a longer losing streak at the moment, with 20 defeats in a row. This team has lost 9 straight at home and they are also just 1-7 SU in their last 8 against the Lakers at Frost Bank Center. Over their last 17 games, they’ve managed to cover the spread only 5 times and they have the worst net rating out of all 30 teams in the NBA at -11.8 points. Even a shorthanded Lakers team should dominate this matchup.

Milwaukee Bucks -6.5 over Indiana Pacers (-110)
Getting eliminated from the NBA In-Season Tournament by the Pacers has left a bitter taste in the mouths of the Milwaukee Bucks. Tonight they have a chance to redeem themselves as they host the highest-scoring offense in NBA history. It’ll be the 3rd meeting of the season so far between the two teams, with Indiana winning both matchups so far. However, this will be the first time the two teams will play in Milwaukee, which is exactly why I’m eyeing the Bucks to cover here.
They’ve beaten the Pacers 15 times over the last 19 head-to-head, while at Fiserv Forum that number is at 9 in the last 11 games played. Milwaukee’s recent home form is also impressive with 10 wins in 11, and although they only have the 15th-best net rating (+4.0) in home games, I still feel like they’ll take out their frustrations on this Pacers team tonight. We just saw how the Lakers won the IST final against Indy, so the recipe to beat this team is well-known. Time for Milwaukee to finally show up defensively and limit the Pacers to a reasonable amount. Take Giannis and company to cover here.
Brooklyn Nets ML over Phoenix Suns (+144)
Phoenix just played a tough home game against the Golden State Warriors last night and managed to squeeze out an important 119-116 win. The Nets had a night off, which could give them a slight edge here. The Suns’ 3-0 record on 2nd nights of back-to-backs is impressive, however, when you look closer, 2 of those games were against the Pistons and Grizzlies which isn’t exactly a good measuring stick. Kevin Durant did not play in last night’s game and his status is up in the air against his former team.
Brooklyn did suffer a tough loss on the road in Sacramento the other night, but they are still an encouraging 6-2 SU over their last 8 games and have covered the spread 7 times in their last 9. The last 10 meetings against Phoenix have been even with each side winning 5 times — interestingly enough the Nets are outscoring Phoenix by 1.4 points per game during that stretch. Considering all circumstances, I believe we’re getting a really solid price for a road win here, so let’s hope for the best and try our luck with the Nets to win outright.
