CHI Bulls ML (+370)
LA Lakers -2.5 (-110)
OKC Thunder -2.5 (-114)
NBA Parlay odds: +1584
CHI Bulls ML over Orlando Magic (+370)
Our Parlay tips-off in Orlando where the Magic take on the Bulls. It’ll be the 2nd meeting of the season, the Bulls won the first one 102-99 about a month ago. A lot has changed since then and the two teams are seemingly headed in opposite directions, but I just feel like this is a good match-up for Chicago. As good as this Orlando defense has been, they have slipped a little when it comes to paint protection – teams are averaging 47.3 pts from up close against them in the last 3 games.
Furthermore, their three-point defense is mediocre at best with opponents connecting on 36% of their shots against them. Facing a team like Chicago that could be problematic, once the Bulls get cooking from downtown it’s hard to beat them. In their last 7 games they’ve scored at least 20 threes twice and 19 threes in 4 of those games. Orlando got 31 pts from Banchero in that first meeting, he’s not playing here. They also got smoked in the rebounding department, I say we back the Bulls to inflict them their first home defeat of the season.
LA Lakers -2.5 over San Antonio Spurs (-110)
The Lakers have hit a bit of a rough patch with 3 consecutive losses, but the good news is they have an opportunity to bounce back against the Spurs here. Victor Wembanyama has been playing extremely well, but his kryptonite is Anthony Davis. AD went for 40 and 12 in the first meeting which the Lakers won 120-115. Wemby did have 28 and 14, but he had to work really hard to get to his numbers. LA is just the more talented team here, plus they also have experience on their side. They’ve beaten the Spurs 9 times in 11 meetings in San Antonio and have won 7 of the last 8 head-to-head overall. The Spurs are in midst of a 4-game win streak, but they wasted a ton of energy last night in Salt Lake City scoring 128 points in a 13 point victory. Count on the Lakers to bounce back here.
OKC Thunder -2.5 over Golden State Warriors (-114)
We close our Parlay in San Francisco where the Oklahoma City Thunder are looking to win a 3rd game in a row, taking on the Golden State Warriors. Their last 2 wins vs the Blazers and Kings were both by double-digits, that’s a sign of things to come as we get closer to December. OKC has had issues with injuries early on in the season, losing their two big men Isaiah Hartenstein and Chet Holmgren, plus a very valuable wing defender in Alex Caruso.
Well, Hartenstein is back and is already filling up the stat sheet with back-to-back double-doubles. With his size on the interior, teams are now more hesitant to attack the basket against OKC, which adds another dimension to an already elite defense. Golden State is struggling at the moment – they’ve just lost consecutive games at San Antonio and vs the Nets. Stephen Curry and Jonathan Kuminga are both on the injury report as questionable here, losing either one of them would be a massive blow to the Warriors ambitions here. Losing that first meeting of the season really hurt the Thunder, I believe they’ll be extra motivated to bounce back in style here.
