Brooklyn Nets ML over Boston Celtics (+320)
We tip things off in Brooklyn where the Nets are searching for their 2nd win in a row as they host the defending champion Boston Celtics. Unlike the C’s who just played last night, the Nets last played on Monday against New Orleans. These 2 teams met over the weekend and the Nets pushed Boston to the brink but ultimately lost in overtime 108-104. Playing in front of their home fans should give them a bit of a boost here. These Celtics aren’t unbeatable — just ask the Atlanta Hawks, who beat them last night as 15-point underdogs at TD Garden.
Jayson Tatum didn’t have the best of games as he is currently dealing with a minor wrist issue, and with this being the Celtics’ 2nd game in 2 nights, we could very well see him sit this one out. Brooklyn has been a reliable 4-1 ATS in their last 5 home games, and overall they’ve covered the spread in 8 of their last 9 games. It’s been a while since they beat Boston on their home court, I think it’s time they get that monkey off their backs. I’m taking the Nets to shock the Celtics at big odds to kickstart our NBA parlay picks.

Cleveland Cavaliers -9 over Philadelphia 76ers (-110)
At 12-0, it’s really hard to find anything to complain about if you are a Cleveland Cavaliers fan. With their next 3 games being against Philadelphia, Chicago and Charlotte, it is very possible that they go into Boston next Tuesday after a 15-0 start. Let’s not get too ahead of ourselves though, as first they have to beat a struggling 76ers team that just lost to the Knicks last night. Dealing with Joel Embiid has been a problem in recent years, as he’s averaging 32 points per game in the last 5 meetings, but this being the 2nd night of a back-to-back for Philly, the Cavs likely won’t have that issue. Instead, Cleveland would be wise to focus on the three-ball here as Philadelphia allows opponents to shoot 37% from downtown this season.
Keeping up in the scoring department with the number-1 offense in the NBA will be difficult for Philadelphia, as the Cavs are averaging 121.3 points per 100 possessions while the 76ers are at just 106.5 points. The difference in pace is also noticeable with Philly ranking 28th, while the Cavaliers are 9th. We have the hottest team in the league facing a struggling 76ers side that’s on a 2nd night of a back-to-back and without 2 of their 3 best players. I’m not overthinking this one and taking the Cavs to beat the 76ers by double digits.

LA Lakers ML over Memphis Grizzlies (-280)
It is always a fun matchup between the young and upcoming Grizzlies and the experienced LA Lakers. Memphis got one over on the Lakers last week but this time around they’ll be without the services of Ja Morant, who is dealing with an injury. That’s a big blow to their ambitions against the undefeated-at-home Lakers here. LA received some good news ahead of this game with Anthony Davis being cleared to play following an eye injury in the win over Toronto.
AD did not play in that loss to Memphis last week, and his 31.2 points per game could very well be the difference here. LA ranks 4th-best in offense when playing at home, so it’s no wonder why they’re 5-0 at Crypto.com Arena. In this building, they’ve covered the spread in 6 of 7 meetings with the Grizzlies, plus in head-to-head meetings they’ve won 8 of the last 12 overall. We just need the Lakers to pull out the win here to wrap up our NBA parlay picks and I’m feeling very optimistic about that.
