It can be quite rare for us to get to this stage of the season and still have so much to play for in terms of positioning. There are intense races in both conferences to try and get out of the play-in spots and secure automatic playoff berths. Out west, the 3-team race for the top seed seems to be ever-changing, and I am sure there will be plenty more twists and turns to come. You can check out all of our NBA picks for today’s games, but for now, let’s dive into my Thursday NBA parlay picks.
Warriors -4 (-110)
Heat -2.5 (-112)
Nuggets -3.5 (-108)
NBA parlay odds: +596
Golden State Warriors -4 over Houston Rockets (-110)
The Golden State Warriors have caught fire at the right time, winning 5 straight games and opening up a 3-game gap to the chasing Houston Rockets. With a win tonight, they should all but ensure a play-in spot. The visitors are also likely to welcome back Jonathan Kuminga tonight, which should help boost their perimeter defensive capabilities. With the Rockets missing Alperen Sengun and a reliable low-post scorer, they could really struggle putting up points tonight.
Over the last 5 games, the Warriors have been 3rd in the league in defensive rating while the hosts rank in the bottom 10 offensively. It is also worth noting that the Warriors lead the season series 2-0, winning both games by 5 or more points. Look for them to limit the Rockets enough tonight to keep that streak going.

Miami Heat -2.5 over Philadelphia 76ers (-112)
Joel Embiid did not have a physically tough matchup on his return from injury, going up against Chet Holmgren in his first outing. Tonight things should be much more difficult up against Bam Adebayo. In his one game against the Heat this season, Embiid shot more than 10% below his season average from the field. If he takes to the floor here, he could face similar issues. The 76ers are not a team that has travelled well this season either, with a .500 record.
Tobias Harris and Tyrese Maxey are both listed as questionable to play, which could leave Philadelphia very short of offensive weapons they could turn to. They will be needed here too. Over the last 10 games, no team in the NBA has a better defensive rating than tonight’s hosts. They should have a terrific chance to cover the spread tonight, even if all of the questionable 76ers take to the floor.
Denver Nuggets -3.5 vs Los Angeles Clippers (-108)
Kawhi Leonard will miss his second straight game tonight due to knee soreness. The first game did not go well without him, with the team suffering a 14-point loss at the hands of the Sacramento Kings. It would not be surprise to see the defending NBA champions inflict a similar result upon them tonight. The Nuggets should be motivated seeing as they are in a tight 3-team race for the top seed in the conference. Nikola Jokic and Aaron Gordon are both on the injury report but are probable to play. Jamal Murray could make his return from injury too. The Clippers are not in great form either, ranking 20th in net offensive and defensive ratings over the last 10 games. Jokic is just 0.5 assists shy from averaging a triple-double against them this season and I expect him to dominate proceedings here.
