We close out the week with a massive 11-game slate this Sunday, including a pair of double-headers on ABC and ESPN. The action starts very early in Philadelphia where the 76ers host the Bucks at 1 pm ET. I’ve gone in depth with all 11 games and picked out my 3 favorite bets for a NBA Mega Parlay. Continue reading below to see who made the cut.
Don’t forget to also check out our NBA picks for Sunday’s action. Now let’s dive into my bet!
Nuggets ML (-112)
Pelicans -3 (-110)
Kings ML (+210)
Parlay odds: +1020
Denver Nuggets ML over Golden State Warriors (-112)
It’s always a fun match-up when the current NBA champions take on the former NBA champions, but the games between the Nuggets and Warriors have been largely dominated by Nikola Jokic and his team. Denver is on a 6-game win streak in head-to-head meetings, which includes the 3 meetings from earlier this season. In those 3 games the Joker is averaging 31.7 points, 12 rebounds and 7.7 assists per game. In his 2 games since the all star break he’s putting up 25 points, 17 rebounds and 14.5 assists per game in just over 30 minutes per game.
Until Golden State figures out a way to stop the big fella, I am not ready to bet against the Nuggets in this match-up. They are 12-6 SU in their last 18 games, going into this 2nd part of the regular season I expect them to take it up a notch as they prepare for another deep run in the postseason. Stephen Curry has been on a tear lately, but I think the Nuggets will be too much to handle even for him. Take the road team to win outright.
New Orleans Pelicans -3 over Chicago Bulls (-110)
This is a typical revenge game for the New Orleans Pelicans who are looking to even out the regular season series against the Chicago Bulls who beat them 124-118 in early December. Although they did lose to Miami in their last game, that was a 2nd night of a back-to-back so I wouldn’t put too much weight on that result. Hosting a Bulls team that’s just 1-3 SU in their last 4 games is just what this team needs. The Pels are 6-4 SU in the last 10 meetings, they’ve won 8 of 10 overall and are 8-4 SU in their last 12 at Smoothie King Center.
Eastern Conference teams have had a hard time against New Orleans, winning just 5 of 17 games. C.J. McCollum has been ruled out of this one with an ankle injury, but the combination of Brandon Ingram and Zion Williamson will be too much to handle for the Bulls here. This team just got destroyed by the Boston Celtics 129-112, I just can’t see how they stay competitive against one of the elite teams in the Western Conference. Take the Pelicans to cover as home favorites.
Sacramento Kings ML over LA Clippers (+210)
There’s been a lot of talk regarding the snubbing of De’Aaron Fox and Domantas Sabonis for the All-Star game, this is the perfect game for the Kings duo to prove everyone that they made a mistake by not including them. LA has been a strong team at home this season, but their form has dropped off a bit lately with losses against Minnesota and OKC in 2 of their last 4 games. Sacramento, on the other hand, has won back-to-back games. They went into the break with a 4-point road win against the Denver Nuggets as 5.5 point underdogs, which proves they are capable of winning vs the big teams away from home.
It’s also worth pointing out the Clippers rank only 20th in defensive rating over their last 5 games, that’s a significant drop off compared to the team that won 25 of 30 games at one point over the last 2 or so months. This team is also just 1-5 ATS in their last 6 games overall and 1-4 ATS in their last 5 vs Western Conference opponents. With the Kings beating 6 of their last 8 opponents from the West, I’m more than willing to try my luck on a road victory here, especially at +210 odds.
