A 5-game slate, including a ESPN double-header, is coming our way in the Association on Sunday, so why not make the most out of it with a 3-team Parlay? Get predictions on the side and total for select games by following our NBA Picks page, I’ve compiled my 3 favorite bets for today, so let’s get into my Sunday NBA Mega Parlay!
DAL Mavericks +13.5 (-110)
PHI 76ers ML (+430)
MIL Bucks -4.5 (-108)
NBA Parlay odds: +1848
DAL Mavericks +13.5 over Cleveland Cavaliers (-110)
The Dallas Mavericks were in the news late last night and early Sunday morning as they made a blockbuster trade with the Los Angeles Lakers to acquire Anthony Davis, with superstar Luka Doncic going the other way. Although Davis will not make his debut on Sunday, I still feel like the Mavs have a shot against the Cavaliers, at least to keep things somewhat close. Although shocked by the trade, Kyrie Irving will be motivated to do well here against his former team.
The Mavs have a positive 6-4 ATS record in the last 10 meetings against Cleveland, they’ve also been very consistent in covering the spread in games played at the Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse doing so in 6 straight visits. It’s hard to find any flaws in the play of the 39-9 SU Cavs this season, but they have shown they aren’t untouchable in their last 6 games going 3-3 SU. We all still remember the Mavs’ win at OKC a little over a week ago, who says they cannot get a result against the Cavaliers as well?
PHI 76ers ML over Boston Celtics (+430)
Some people might be turned off by the odds for this bet, but the shorthanded 76ers have actually played solid basketball over the past couple of weeks going 5-0 ATS and winning 4 of their last 5 games. Tyrese Maxey is having an out-of-body experience on a nightly basis, he just dropped 42 points in a narrow 3-point home loss to the Denver Nuggets. There is positive news on the injury front for Philly as they might get Andre Drummond back for this game, which would improve their front line a bit on the defensive end.
Meanwhile, the Celtics haven’t been as invincible over the past couple of weeks as they have been in the opening 2 months of the season. We just saw them barely beat the New Orleans Pelicans on the road, thanks to a game winning shot by Jayson Tatum. Boston is just 4-8 ATS in their last 12 games, unlike Philadelphia they have very little injury concerns at this point, but despite that they’ve lost 2 of their last 5 games as favorites against the Lakers and Rockets. Philadelphia won the first meeting of the season on Christmas Day 118-114 in Boston, with Maxey scoring 33 points in that game. Granted, Embiid and George both played which won’t be the case on Sunday, but with Maxey’s current hot streak I feel like the 76ers can stick around until the end here and potentially cause an upset in the clutch.
MIL Bucks -4.5 over Memphis Grizzlies (-108)
Giannis Antetokounmpo and co. return home following a rather disappointing 1-3 SU West coast road trip, highlighted by poor defense and a 144-118 loss at San Antonio in the final game. I would imagine head coach Doc Rivers will come up with adjustments for this game, allowing 120+ will almost certainly result in a loss here. Despite the sub-par road trip, Milwaukee is still seen as a 4.5-point favorite here and in that role they are 24-12 SU for the season.
They’ve covered the spread in 6 straight home games, both of their star players should be healthy and available for Sunday’s game. Memphis did win the 1st meeting fairly easily, but now it’s time for the Bucks to respond. This is a massive character test for them, a win levels them with the Indiana Pacers in the standings for the 4th seed. Coming back to familiar surroundings should do this team well, I’m taking the home team to cover.
